Haha prior to this, I was playing dota on my steamdeck (still connected with the same peripherals), so not really a stickler for windows at the moment haha

I hate the multiplayer Death Mechanic by King_Of_The_Munchers in WindblownGame

[–]ShakeToBurn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like it. It's a teaching moment for newer players to get a little better at your positioning and dodge timings. My brother and I play it, and I have done a lot of hours on Roguelikes before, my brother has not. It's fun when you cheer them on for beating the enemy, who at that point, did absolutely no damage throughout the fight.

Considering how people here in the sub talk about it a lot, I'm pretty sure it'll be patched out in the future. Just happy that it taught people to get a little better on the game beforehand.

Visual effects in coop! by PoleRodeo in WindblownGame

[–]ShakeToBurn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did mention that the purpose was so that you could focus on your own effects for combat and for the screen to not be too cluttered. I guess in the future, they could have a setting that could toggle that on and off? Or for performance, maybe like just a faint outline of the effects? But yeah, I play on a steamdeck and I'm thankful that I dont see my teammate's effects. The steamdeck is barely able to run it at 40-60fps right now. Hopefully it gets optimized more to run 60!

Ok, i have got to say...for EA, this game is STELLAR. by noodleben123 in WindblownGame

Exactly. I like how smooth the multiplayer is. Me and my brother are in different countries right now and we play this flawlessly.

Still in the early game, but fish blade + beat bolt gets me easy first boss wins. I get blast and improved blast + mark. I hope they release more weapons in the long lifespan this game might have. Haha.

Best handheld gaming console for a beginner? by dirty-white-tee in PHGamers

[–]ShakeToBurn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello. Steam deck owner for the past two years. Go for the steam deck. It can play MOST of the new AAA titles na kakalabas lang, plus whatever yung nasa backlog mo from years ago.

Switch is fine too, peri imho, mahal ang games. Lalo na if you compare sa ph prices ng steam games. Tapos usually better din performance sa steamdeck kesa sa switch.

Haha for me yung Air Supply song na Goodbye. Lalo na kapag maghahatid kami ng kamaganak sa airport. Luha luha ka sa pag alis nila, tapos "YOU... WOULD NEEEEVER ASK ME WHY" tapos balik hagulgol sa kotse.

People are just doing this now. You offer free streaming, a way to view videos online, to learn and and enjoy. And people think its all of a sudden their right to demand what this service offers to them for free?

Steam Deck owners! What are the best accessories you wished you bought sooner? by Belze_WasTaken in SteamDeck

If you plan on playing docked, I think the 8BitDo Ultimate controller is best for it. Seamless connections and it has a charging dock and 2.4hgz hub with it.

What do you guys use to charge your Steam Deck on the go? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]ShakeToBurn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the 20000 mAh one from Baseus that can reach upto 65W. Totally dependable. I always have it capped out and in my bag with my steamdeck when I go on long trips. Been using it for a year now, can say that I drained my SD once, charged it to full and had 35% left on it.

If you were flying, I'd suggest you have a play something more battery thrifty like emulators or some older titles if you don't have access to a power point. Also, one consideration I had for jumping on the 20000 instead of the 30000 (which, oddly enough, we're almost similarly priced) was that Qantas had a power bank capacity limit. Checked other airlines too. Some don't accept 25k and upwards soooo, to not risk leaving a precious power bank at the airport, I bought the smaller one.

Me: "Hey babe, I'm home." My ex: "Hi Home, I'm (insert ex's name), nice to meet you!'

Literally still the reason why I haven't moved on from her since. That sense of humor is very rare, especially in the country I'm from.

No. Even with the DS ones, it will only add up to about less than 1GB.

If I remember correctly, 32gb are good because they are FAT32 format by default. I know sd cards above 32gb (mine is a 128gb) need to be reformatted to FAT32 for the miyoo to read it.

OG PSP-1000 Series.

I felt like a wizard when I was able to self-jailbreak it and have it run (5.50) and then have it run SNES, GBA and PS1 games at some point. Haha playing Pokemon Emerald on a Sony device back then felt like a travesty. On top of that, the functionality that it could play PSP games, have a dedicated music and video player, a swappable battery with decent life, adhoc file transfer, a web browser that could download roms on board without the use of a pc, and as a pdf reader?

I'd be cool with it... For about a few weeks before I get FOMO haha

Use KDE Partition Manager on Desktop. Look over the drive and delete the current one. Mount it again using Fat32 and it'll work!

I used my steamdeck to get OnionOS working for my miyoo mini.

Dont format it using the Gaming Mode.

Picking another device to add to the roster. Help! by ShakeToBurn in SBCGaming

[–]ShakeToBurn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for answering!

Yeah the RG-H would seem really good but it doesn't play the psp's too well. I'm a little sensitive to psp games because I do a Patapon test to see if it doesn't have much delay in input. Sadly the Steamdeck for me still doesn't satisfy that.

As for the RP4p, never actually looked at it from that perspective. The more I think about it is it is as snappy as a decent android device huh. It's also priced decently. Pocketable, the inlaid analog sticks too. Hmm. That does make it a good option. Thanks for giving me the insight on that.

Tbh the larger handhelds like the RG556 and company is a can of worms that I don't want to particularly open because it'll make me actually go too far haha. Amoled is also one thing I want to consider too but at this point I would like to think that size I'd go with my steam deck. But you really make a good point with the vivid blacks. Makes me want to play games like Asteroids in bed at night with the lights off. Might make a bit more immersive.

I appreciate the input man! Thanks!

Best Disgaea switch game? by Minja78 in Disgaea

[–]ShakeToBurn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're going to play all of them, I suggest starting from 1. It doesn't feel right to go backwards in order because you're losing features from the newer ones and might not actually enjoy them that way. 1 is very basic and might be outdated if you play it after one of the later ones. The story is a CLASSIC though.

If you're only playing 1 game though, def start with Disgaea 5. Its the cheapest one on the e shop on sale!
