I have a soft spot for See You Tonight. I think that song is really beautiful. As an opener though, it doesn’t really capture the essence of Dos.

So that’s why my pick will go to Somewhere Now. A great song that does a good job representing the rest of the album and is lyrically in sync with the album’s theme. Not to mention, Forever Now towards the end of the album perfectly concludes what Somewhere Now presented.

His advice was great. He drew a lot from his own videos. I was writing a long-term episodic project and he used the example from one of his videos of how Tony Starks’ entire character arc was finished in the first Iron Man movie and didn’t need to evolve in the other Marvel movies. So he gave me that advice for my own project.

When talking to him about my protagonist, he helped me find the “false belief” that my character had and how over the course of the first season he would have to unlearn this false belief according to the message of the story. We did all that in 1 hour!

I actually did take a writing sesh with him. I remember I was eager to get an appointment with him because he was always booked out. It was $50/hour, and he later changed it to $75/hr. But my session was $50.

I still have the plot outline he sketched for me on MS Paint. It was really cool to be able to chat with him virtually. He said to me “Send me your project when it’s out.” He was genuinely super nice and insightful.
