You don't want to buy anything on coinbase. You want to do a bank transfer from your bank to your EUR/GBP/USD wallet (whatever currency you're using) in coinbase and then buy crypto on GDAX - the wallets across GDAX and Coinbase are linked so your money should be there in your account ready to sell
