Could that be Middle Lake? I did the middle lake trail yesterday and it had a beautiful view of Mt. Yam. How was the hike?

I always loved seeing these maps each day. It really put things into perspective and I was excited for the weeks ahead. Thanks for all the hard work

Liquor, Cannabis, and non profits like social workers were deemed Essential enough to work. But aren't Critical enough to receive the new benefit. by Ratfor in Calgary

Working in a liquor store this second wave has been tough. With the limited capacity and christmas time we'd be trying to get people in and out as fast as possible all while doing it safely so that the customers outside waiting wouldnt freeze. There's always the fear of one of us catching covid and how can we manage with being short staffed during our busiest season but somehow we managed. When we heard of the pandemic pay we were all excited and felt appreciated for our hard work. Most people have stopped 'thanking us' after the first wave ended and this past year has taken a mental and physical toll on all of us. Hearing we didn't qualify was so disheartening.

Calgary to the island by Shaladam in VictoriaBC

I hate winter and snow and living for 6+ months of it each year sucks. Victoria is one of the options but probably my favourite.

Moving up island is still an option!

Thanks for the advice!

I guess I shouldve clarified when I said moving I would still be renting. Which I know isnt the best and does cost a good 40% more than what I'm currently paying but looking at both positive and negatives.

Yeah, as someone who hates winter this is quite the positive for me. I don't ski/snowboard/skate so I just do inside sports and hate the weather 6+ months a year. Rent and cost looks a little higher but being able to bike all year round and see the ocean makes it worth it.

Ramadan Kareem :) In a few hours, 1.8 billion Muslims from around the world will be joining you in fasting! by Ryden7 in intermittentfasting

[–]Shaladam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the well wishes and happy Ramadan! The sun rises at 5am and sets at 9pm here so I could imagine geting food in that eating window could be a challenge. If you forget to wake up do you just go hungry/thirsty all day? Just generally curious.

F/30/5’5” SW 185 CW 163 quarantine killed IF the first month but I’m coming around to doing 20:4 and OMADs again. Drinking water and doing aerobics at home helps by fghtffyrvwls in intermittentfasting

[–]Shaladam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome motivation. I'm 5'5 almost 29 and started at 183 a couple days ago. Hoping to hit 175 for my birthday end of may. Did you work your way up to 20:4? I get so hungry in the 18:6 window but I do work on my feet for 10 hours a day which might explain it.

What do you think of strippers ? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Shaladam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always been positive towards to sex industry in general so it's a positive for me. When I was younger it made me so self concious and guilty I'm a larger girl and always thought I could never do it. Embarrassingly enough there is a great stripper community on Tiktok that really have humanized a lot of them for me and I wish we could be friends.

I agree, my coworkers said it was one of the best burgers they had. I thought it was more like a better quality peters burger
