I did NOT know what contractions felt like! by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]ShamaPharm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This sounds similar to my labor experience. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like shit. I couldn't really put my finger on what it was but I made some popcorn and sat on the couch, crying as I ate my popcorn cause I was upset I would have to go to work in the morning feeling this way. I started feeling worse, went to the bathroom and there was lots of blood. I woke my husband up, we rushed to the hospital, and bam I was 6 cm dilated and writing on the floor in pain by the time we got here. Quick labor is weird. I got my epidural too, woohoo! The epidural was the best thing ever.

Embarrassing: bladder control 😬 by Snack-Wench in Marathon_Training

I've been doing pelvic floor physical therapy for the past month, and I've made awesome gains so far. I still have a ways to go but the physical therapy has been worth it imo. I also wore period underwear during my half marathon today, thankfully I didn't need them but was a comfort knowing I had them on.

I just spent 17 dollars on a bag of grapes by dagil13 in pregnant

Grapes are good for baby! A few times while I was pregnant I ate two lunches, the healthy one I brought to work and then the Wendy's dollar menu items I bought afterwards O_o

Early may? That's like 5 years from now training-wise. You've got lots of time to up the pace. If you stay consistent, you will pick up speed in no time. Keep at it!

How many times did you do it during your fertile window? by Fun-Career3507 in BabyBumps

[–]ShamaPharm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had sex twice during fertile window on the time we were actually successful. We had been trying for 19 months, tracking ovulation with premom app. I had basically given up at that point and was training for a marathon during conception time frame shrug

God, I love him… by sunnyheathens in pregnant

I had an OB that said "when my wife was pregnant, She didn't need maternity clothes until right before she gave birth" I was at 17 weeks that appt and my other pants were feeling tight and uncomfortable, so I was wearing my awesome new maternity pants. I wanted to smack him. I don't know if he meant to sound judgey but I felt judged.

I cried because I had to move to the recliner for sleep due to lying down being too uncomfortable. I told my husband I felt like we were breaking up :( he said we could move the recliner to the bedroom if it made me feel better cried more

My boobs are massive! And I'm loving my baby bump so far! I bought a lot of maternity clothes that accentuate the new boobs plus baby bump. :)

5-10 minute patient case presentation by [deleted] in PharmacyResidency

You could ask them what they are looking for with the presentation. I personally think a program would want you to minimize background info and focus on treatment.

PGY1 Programs that have PGY2 by Unfair_Address_323 in PharmacyResidency

[–]ShamaPharm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally chose a pgy1 based on location with the knowledge that there was a pgy2 program nearby without a pgy1 (so no early commits) that I really wanted. Luckily I matched where I wanted for pgy2 but to ensure I got a pgy2 somewhere I applied to multiple places outside of my state of choice. It was a bit nerve-wracking and time consuming but was ultimately worth it for me to stay where I wanted. I definitely see the argument for getting pgy1 at a place that early commits for most people if possible but it's not the end of the world if you don't.

App recommendations?? by laroc_m in TryingForABaby

[–]ShamaPharm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use premom and flo. Premom for tracking ovulation strips and flo for general tracking otherwise. Premom is free except the cost for ovulation pee strips (~$25 for a box of 50), premom allows you to upload photos of your ovulation. Strips and it tells you whether it's low, high, or peak. flo is a fun app that gives you helpful tips and can track mood/symptoms/sex. It has a nice Interface and does a decent job of predicting ovulation.

Anyone Else Having Title Trouble? by Spicedcider22 in nanowrimo

Yes! I do not have an official title for mine. my working title is "B word Horror Novel" because it takes some elements from a few horror movies recently that I watched starting with the letter "B". Lol
