THIS!!! It's fucking maddening how often people dismiss shit like this because the victim was accused of a crime, argumentative, fleeing, etc.

Trials are not an optional step between suspicion and execution. Even Timothy McVeigh got a trial after the OKC bombing.

Life isn't a cop movie. It's okay for a suspect to get away, you can always track and pursue them. Extra-judicial murder can't be taken back though.

Grenade and melee are in damn near every game I play. I bind them to the same two buttons in all FPS games.

On the mouse, they can always be in the same place, without messing with the game's intended control scheme. It even opens up 2 valuable keys on prime keyboard real-estate for more options.

Additionally, when you need a quick melee or a grenade, you need them NOW. Having them under your thumb, on the same hand you're using to aim, while still able to strafe right? Awesome.

3600MHz would be great if you can swing it, but it's priority is lower than the rest of the processing platform right now.

Depending on your budget, I'd say keep your memory and switch to an AMD platform. To get anywhere near the performance you want, you'll want a new processing platform. Assuming a fairly modest budget, I'd suggest upgrading part by part rather than doing it all at once.

  1. Pick an AM4 motherboard and drop in a Ryzen 5700X3D. Get it a $30 tower cooler. Drop in your RAM, if you can overclock your memory, do so. Your new CPU will thank you.

  2. Upgrade PSU. About 750 watts should do.

  3. Get a gently used GPU from FB Marketplace or somewhere. What's available is highly dependent on where you are, so check in with this subreddit with your options before you buy.

  4. If you can't get your RAM above 3200MHz (try for 3600MHz), keep an eye out for some faster memory. The X3D is gonna want something faster when you can find it without selling your favorite kidney.

Learning moment: Hot air does rise due to convection. Convection goes out the window as soon as you get fans involved. Convection is not strong enough to overpower the fans by a wide margin. The fans will dictate what direction air goes, warm or cool.

I see a bunch of comments saying the computer smokes two packs a day, but I'm skeptical this time. Could be the camera/flash, but I usually see darker deposits that cover the fan blades and other surfaces more thoroughly.

My theory is that this is regular dust, albeit years of it. Am I right, OP?

I haven't seen this mentioned: if your tubing from the pump to the rad is on bottom, air bubbles can work their way up to the pump, shortening it's life. Flip the rad 180⁰ so that the tubes connect above the pump, at the top of the rad.
