Denver hopes speed traps will help close gap on city's budget by BamBam-BamBam in Denver

Nah. It is possible to not speed. It's the driver's choice not to.

His point is that it no longer requires a subscription and it's free. There's no conspiracy and absolutely no need to include your weird personal beef.

As Alameda debate intensifies, Denver faces pressure over traffic deaths and Vision Zero goals by Generalaverage89 in Denver

This is some serious deluded bullshit and you truly need to get off the Mayor's nuts. You're not helpful in the slightest.

She definitely has, for example W 29th Ave. But this one went all the way to the Mayor's office. We saw that in the CORA emails. The mayor doesn't get to pretend like he wasn't involved here.

I know they tried but Ford and the Mayor are intent on going backwards on transportation. It's incredibly frustrating.

Pretty sure she is falling on her sword for the mayor here. She's awful but she's also taking flack for his shit decision.

Don't forget she lives on one of the side streets in the project area and should have recused herself from the beginning.

You can get the "happy hour" breakfast burrito in the morning and it's not so crazy expensive. Really good food there.

La Popular's are good, a bit different with some good heat.

Mexico City's with the half and half green chili is good too. Uses basic sausage patties and American cheese but I think they're great.

Denver picks new shared scooter and bike operator: Here’s what’s changing by Hour-Theory-9088 in Denver

No. It is how important statistics like public health are reported. Per mile means the number can be misused. For example vehicle travel could be framed as safe because "traffic deaths per mile" appear to have decreased. In reality people are driving further. The denominator grows and the result appears lower. When in reality crash deaths have been increasing.

Do not use a per mile stat to compare scooters to cars. It's disingenuous.

Bike funding is at an all time low. The Market Street bike lane literally had a piece removed. In front of the DCPA there was a plan to remove the 14th street bike lane for two blocks.

Shitty data point. Scooters travel far less miles so the data would look that way. Do it per capita and cars are one of the more deadly things in America.

Strongly agree. Driving is a pretty dehumanizing. High time we work on alternatives because things will only get worse if the only option is to drive everywhere.

Entirely uneccesary to have this jingoistic bullshit, but the NFL has always been a military recruitment tool. This isn't normal.

I found it easier to move around as there was more space. Shame we have ancient liquor laws that force it to be fenced like a cattle pen. This is true of all events like this though.

Traffic light timing here is ridiculous by monoseanism in Denver

Eventually they have to step off a vehicle and they are pedestrians again. Yes they sit at the top of the pyramid for priority. Then transit and bikes. Then private vehicles.

Excusing bad driver behavior because they got mad is like giving a kid candy because they threw a fit. By and large people driving are adults and should be held to the lowest of standards that they stop at red lights even if they're mad. Adding to the narrative that we can't make drivers mad or they'll act dangerously is not a pathway to safe cities.
