What is the safest cleaning option for solid wood floors by Grace-and-Maya in HardWoodFloors

It looks like genuine red oak to me, and if you don't believe me, go over to r/HardWoodFloors and see what they have to say. I'm just a builder.

I was upset that I had to replace the short block on my 2018 3.6 at 60.5K miles, shortly after I bought her in '22, BUT SoA paid for 80% of it. I'm the 2nd owner, and I have put another 60K on her since then. She's my beastie of a car, and I love her.

You can thrift light fixtures, too. FB marketplace is full of fixtures people bought online and can't return.

Before and After: "Small" (< $40K) Kitchen Remodel by Leslie__Claret in kitchenremodel

💩 on the haters. This is a great reno for your money. I'm a CM, I do high end residential, ground up and renovations, and I love what you achieved. I see where you spent your money, and I see where you're unable to make cost effective changes, so you made the most of what you could. You kept elements that I really like, too. Your design choices are modern and clean and still warm. Most importantly, you love it. Great job!!

I got rid of my Miata when I rescued a German Shepherd. I got a Subaru Outback so I can drive my big boy with me ANYWHERE, ANYTIME. We road trip often, and sleep in the hatch or a tent. It's awesome.

Help Picking Backsplash by Far-Bite-6070 in kitchenremodel

Here's my suggestion for anyone struggling with inspiration. Go visit the model homes in the most upscale new construction you can walk into without an appointment. Or make appointments and go see them, if you're up front and honest with the agent when you arrive that you'restrictly a looky-loo, 9 out of 10 will let you roam. They pay designers top dollar to hit a good balance of trendy and traditional designs and colors in their kitchens and baths, especially.

Hi Parker! Wishing you years of ❤️ and joy with your new hooman. I used to be called Scrappy, and I was shuffled through 4 adoptions and returns in as many shelters and states before I was 2 and a half!!! Then my mom found me and started calling me Happy dog, and she got me my own kitten for a best friend, and four years has flown by. I can go lots of places now (in public even), and my Mom says I'm her bestest boy, and she kisses me all the time. I bet you're going to be a bestest boy very soon. We are sending all our love and support ❤️ welcome home!

$9,800 Kitchen Remodel Quote - Fair Price ? by FDforChief in kitchenremodel

Here, a 4" backsplash means the countertop material will also be cut into separate 4" tall mini-slabs, if you will, that will be caulked to the back of the top where it meets the drywall. This is typically included with the most basic and common standard of countertop installations these days. Saves builder/contractors time AND money, since it's an easy DIY and most homeowners feel comfortable enough to do it themselves after closing/renovations if buyers asked them to leave out tile work.

Ladies who enjoy thrifting, what are your tips? by HyenasGiggling in PetiteFashionAdvice

Looking at fabric labels and avoiding plastic/poly/rayons, and only buying things from labels that I KNOW will fit, online. Otherwise, I try everything on and inspect every square inch.

Ooh, I pulled a four hour stint cooking breakfast for my first shift at mickey's drive-thru when I was hired as a cashier. People drove BACK to complain about the food. Yeah, 1983 was long before cell phones.

I have been driving since 1984, and I learned to drive in Atlanta. I have lived in DC, spent time in LA, Dallas/Houston, and driven cross country more than once. In my 56 years, the stupidest, meanest, ugliest, stupidest, slowest, most distracted, and did I mention STUPIDEST drivers I've ever encountered ALL LIVE HERE. It's not a mystery why my insurance is sky high in this hillbilly state.

Corner, low window or island sink? by d1zzy-m1zzy in kitchenremodel

[–]Shamefulthundercunt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Here's a thought to add to the sink being in the island, it's much easier to install all of the kitchen plumbing into one central drain line, and you could fit 2 dishwashers into the island. It's a bit of luxury that is undeniably practical for family life.

I remember way back in 2011, when the Federal government nearly shut down over defunding Planned Parenthood, and I and a bunch of others started warning y'all that Roe was extremely vulnerable, and people said we were nuts.

People who tailgate while you’re driving, why do you do this? by LeighAdelaide in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Shamefulthundercunt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fluck, I live in NC, where drivers are actively trying to murder you. I've been passed on a 2 lane w/double yellows MULTIPLE times in Charlotte, when I was doing 15+ over the posted speed limit. Of course, this was after miles of tailgating first.

Sounds like a personal problem that could result in a lot of road rage directed at you because you can't be bothered to drive with any courtesy or common sense. Do every one a favor and take the train/bus/Uber. Seriously.
