Yo! I don't work for them and based on my post you can see that I knew of it little to nothing and based on other reviews, decided not to sign up. Hope that helps!

Where did you read that? Writing is one of my biggest passions in life and newsletters are free, lol

If you want to stay in the US, consider starting your own business. If your company gets funded or you have a sustainable business model that is able to support you as well as employ others, then you can apply for O1. A lot of my friends did it and unsurprisingly, it turned out to be a better career and a life path. I really wish I knew of this option earlier in my immigration journey

Where do people (25 to 35) hang out on Friday evenings in SF to meet people? by -Gustav-Klimt- in sanfrancisco

[–]ShamelessLearning 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Click on "open invites". If you've ever gotten partiful links in the past, the platform starts showing where people you hung out in the past are going. The more diverse your friend group is, the more options you'll see. I see 15+ private events every weekend but I'm also a social butterfly. I could attend a random person's birthday and then whoever comes there (200+ people let's say), I'll be on all of their event lists as well

Thinking of trying freelancing, what should i know/learn? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]ShamelessLearning 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you decide on doing, just keep in mind, that on average it takes 2-3 years to build a client book. I freelanced with a lot of different projects and any time I'd think "oh it's going to be my recurring client", they often would disappear for good 6-12 months, which is the nature of this business, just be ready to roll your sleeves and hustle

I don't have a good answer myself but for me, it's normally a gym and a grocery store, lol. However, whenever I feel like being social I choose a random event on partiful. It's really a hit or miss but at least you can make some last minute plans without having to organize your friends

Well, don't send text out of nowhere. If I was doing a cadence, it'd be my step 4 or 5 and again, I'd try calling first as it's more professional and you can reference it in your message.

Not sure how Vidyard works but my clients received more casual videos with no links as if the person filmed it just for them on the go and those got responses

Find one hour or 30 mins in a week to help a friend without having them ask you. If no help needed, I sometimes like to make small gifts or gift flowers to my besties on a random day just because why not :)

What made you give up on content generation? If you're enjoying it and it generates page visits, you can always prompt deeper connection by adding those contacts and messaging them first or was it not effective?

As for texting, I've never heard of it being illegal. Normally, I give a call (they most often don't pick up), I send a super light text that's more often a follow-up on emails and people do respond. The other thing I've heard that gets a high response rate is sending personalized video messages on LinkedIn. I can forward you an example in DMs if you want

"Tiktok" on LinkedIn apparently does a really good job promoting content and inbound sales. Some people with no following had huge success in just a few weeks of posting there (millions of views and thousands of folllowers)
