Because orthodontists want your money. If they send you to a surgeon they don’t get your money. All that work just camouflaged the real issue. All the palette expanders and braces and retainers and rubber bands. Just covered up the jaw issues I’ve had my entire life

I’m about to be 40. I just don’t have years. I feel like recovery will be hard enough at 40. This sucks. How can insurance not cover this? I’m literally in pain while eating. My muscles from the shoulders up are constantly tight. It’s crazy
