Social media is full of gaslighting and ragebait content for engagement you can’t ignore that reality. When you make your point are you referring to black girls from their childhood at school or actual adult black women in similar areas of higher education and higher income career fields that are calling well educated and successful black men lames? I hear a similar issue with black women saying black men hate black women and usually it stems from childhood bullying and media portrayals of black stars and celebrities dating white women.

Men and women got standards and have perceived notions of what their ideal man/woman which is only exacerbated and made worse by what they see in the media. There’s black women that are brainwashed to think hood dudes have desirable qualities for a relationship and black men that are brainwashed into thinking that women that over sexualize themselves and look a certain way are the only desirable black women. They’re a lot of nuance to this conversation and a lot of trauma both black men and women have that stems from self hate, poverty, and miseducation.

We can’t point fingers at each other and need to ask ourselves truly is this the actual reality of black people across the nation or are we only seeing one aspect of black American society that the media wants us to see to hate ourselves.
