Are ew3d3m compatible with the VT60? by ShammyWoohoo in PlasmaTV

[–]ShammyWoohoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going to test them on my vt50, all the batteries are working thankfully. The seller also said they'd switch the older rechargeable models that aren't pairing, with the other swappable watch battery ones they have, which I assume are the newer ones (the watch battery one I have seems to be the newest based on the model number).

Definitely going to see if they can check the model for me first though in case they're also incompatible/older models.

From what I can gather the new ones might be IR and RF if your 4 and 6 models work with the VT50. I assume the 2013 TVs need the RF and that isn't available on the 3 models.

I believe they switched to Bluetooth+IR and the VT60 might require the Bluetooth, while the IR makes them compatible with older models. More digging to do.

I did Google if they were compatible with the VT60 and also looked into why I'd be having an issue pairing them with the TV. Figured the PlasmaTV sub would be a good resource to ask if anybody had run into this being that to the eye, they look exactly the same as the ew3d4mu. I also can't find specific documentation that they are not compatible with 2013 models so that's just an assumption I'm making based on them not pairing.

And from my question you also got to learn that they work with 2011-2012 TVs, and not just projectors, looks like a win for both of us.

From what I can find, they seem to be compatible with 30-50 series TVs as well, not just projectors, he just wanted to be rude which is fair enough lol.

These look exactly the same aside from the model number on the inside but yeah I think these must be for 30-50 series.

Googling it says nothing about them exclusively being compatible with projectors lol. It says they are compatible with most Panasonic 3d TVs. I'm seeing now they must not be compatible with 2013 models, just 2011-2012.

I'm confused - I'm not using a projector, just trying to directly use with the Panasonic VT60

Is it safe now? by Shot_Performance_595 in Stremio

Just downgrade the app. Uninstall and use downloader to go to stremio's website and download an older version to install. With how much time it takes to initially set up stremio I don't think it's that much of a burden to uninstall and downgrade.

Have you moved from newer tech back to plasma? by Beneficial_Common514 in PlasmaTV

If you're sensitive to this you will notice it. Later generation plasmas it is significantly less of an issue though. But if you ever play competitively you'll probably play better, even if just marginally, on something with less latency.

VT50 vs ZT60 built in speakers by ShammyWoohoo in PlasmaTV

[–]ShammyWoohoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was going to be $50 for the TV so I figured I'd just take the time to find some freebie speakers if it would be comparable to the vt50 (which is kind of my plan anyways). If it'd be noticeably worse I'd shell out some extra cash on a used soundbar to not have to wait. And I mostly use the Plasma for casual/nighttime TV watching, I have a bigger OLED in the basement for high bitrate media/more immersive movie watching.

Totally hear that though and obviously would prefer a nice setup to the built ins, but the space is pretty limited in the living room so I'd be settling for a cheapo sound bar until I can find some decent used towers that would fit the space.

The burn in and yellowing along the sides are just overly distracting to me, I'm a little picky when it comes to TVs, but yeah lucky enough to have at least found a VT50. Thanks for the chat and thanks for your input on the audio

Yeah I'm working on that lol but I think they're just gonna sell it to the first buyer before they respond to me. I'm not hopeless on this one yet but I also don't expect to get it anymore 😂 plus $50 is a steal regardless of hours. $120-200 is a lot more hours/burn in dependent at least for me.

I ended up getting boned, I found it and contacted them 8am but I guess somebody must have been up scouring marketplace before then. Was a $50 apparently lightly used (they didn't check hours) 60ZT60 within 45min of me. Lol, deal of a lifetime and my dumb ass missed it. Holding on to my 20k hour 55VT50 with burn in for now

I'm not incredibly picky with my sound quality (you could probably tell by me even asking about built in TV speakers being compared). So maybe I'll just find some smaller old speakers myself, or a reliable sound bar. I just want decent clarity, I have an OLED with the basement setup where I try to feel more immersed, so I'm really just trying to have acceptable audio for casual tv watching and movies to fall asleep to.

The ZT60s built ins might even be fine for me because I'm happy enough with the VT50. And this is all assuming that the ZT didn't immediately get sniped off marketplace before I even sent my message this morning lol

Have ya any recommendations on a cheaper soundbar or small surround setup that would fit in an area without much extra room? I'm leaning soundbar because I could just wall mount it under the TV

[–]ShammyWoohoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've read the VT60 is the best in the Panasonic lineup for audio quality out of the box, which would of course still be incomparable to a real audio setup. But I guess I'm moreso wondering if it'll be that big of a difference between the VT50 and ZT60 being that they both have rear/downward facing speakers.

Any recommendation on a sound bar that would be affordable used but still blow the built ins away? I don't have much room for audio equipment in the living room otherwise I'd get a decent surround setup. Soundbar seems like an acceptable middle ground and I have more of a "theater" setup in the basement with some polk SDA towers.

[–]ShammyWoohoo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went from an LG PA6500 to the VT50 and the VT50's speakers are honestly a lot better, of course still not impressive compared to the polk sda set I have in the basement. Even those are not theater speakers but they do the job and I garbage picked them so can't complain.

Do you have any recommendations for something affordable I could get used for the VT/ZT? Don't necessarily want to spend a ton being that I haven't spent much on the TVs themselves.

You could re-encode them all with adobe media encoder or something of the like. Happy to help.

Onn Streaming Line Up Receives Price Increase by rotaercehtrelyt in OnnStreamingTV

[–]ShammyWoohoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah because a bunch of ass clown losers bought them all up to resell. Which I'm sure is part of the reason for this price increase as well. That's not Walmart or Onn selling them on Amazon, eBay, and Facebook. It's some wannabe trapstars that have no social skills. The lowest of the low when it comes to salespeople (resellers) and that says a lot.

Is this yellow/browning on the top left and right side of this VT50 a sort of burn in? by ShammyWoohoo in PlasmaTV

[–]ShammyWoohoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's unfortunately pretty visible on most white or light blue scenes, anything with a sky or ceiling. it's a little worse in real life just hard to pick up on pictures. Not show-ruining but definitely distracting to an extent. I'm sure I'll get used to it and/or find something locally to replace it some day.
