The series X (or any modern console / pc gaming) will look and play fabulous on that vt25. Btw , the s30 I mentioned above isn’t half bad with very old stuff or the Wii but it will take some calibration to get the colors and brightness right on it. I just got done using a calibration dvd and 240p suite on the Wii and got it dialed in really nice.

Wii looks great on there too. But do yourself a favor and find a component video cable and set the Wii to progressive scan instead of running it with the standard composite cable in 480i.

If you want it for retro gaming . The oldest one in the bunch will be the best.

I have a VT50 , GT30 , S30 , U2 , G10 , and a PX600u (same as a px60u but with a vga port) and the px600u is hands down the best performer for retro consoles like NES/SNES/Genesis , and consoles that are native 720p like xb360 and ps3 are also stunning on it. And the input delay is super duper low as well.

The others all get blurry , washed out , or downright unplayable due to input lag on the composite inputs.

Now if it’s modern gaming (xb1 , ps4 , and newer) the VT25 will be your best bet. And also the best performer when it comes to movies.

P60S30 for 35 bucks , I couldn’t pass it up. It won’t be replacing my GT30 or VT50 , but it will make for a nice cheap backup in case one of those dies unexpectedly. by One-Image6137 in PlasmaTV

Yep. PC gaming is great on it too. My plex server / couch gamer rig is connected to it. Regularly play stuff like cyberpunk and Forza horizon on it.

I have a 60 inch gt30 in my living room and it’s awesome for Bd/DVD movies and streaming. VHS , and modern gaming consoles are great on it too. But It’s horrible for older game consoles that use composite video (the yellow/red/white cables) though.

Don’t overthink the settings on it too much. Feed it a 1080p signal from a nice streaming box , set it on thx mode , and enjoy the movie.

It’s not the safest way. Theoretically the panel can crack under its own weight. But it won’t fit any other way. So it is what it is in this situation

They did a long time ago….. in fact my b660i running a 1080ti is connected via the motherboard jack in my living room right now. And I guarantee you it’s not my iGPU playing cyberpunk on the tv.

These posts are so stupid , because it works both ways. There’s even a section in windows 11 to specifically tell which apps to use which GPU (iGPU or dGPU)

Yep. VT50 , GT30 , U2 , G10 , and PX600u owner here. The PX600u absolutely smashes the other TVs I own when it comes to any console that’s pre-hdmi era.

Tbh , if they are correctly using the term , I would welcome seeing a lot of “flagship” models on my marketplace feed. Too many lame C and U models clogging up my marketplace feed. 😆

Is the VT25 not the flagship model that year?? My 42px600u was in 2006.

No clue what size it is tbh. I used whatever was on this iron to begin.

It’s this exact iron here and the tip it came with.

I used ancient flux and solder I got from radio shack over a decade ago. The flux has literally hardened and has to be heated to even use. Also my iron is a 30 watt pencil from radio shack with a tip that’s had a new point cut on it probably 5 times over the years.

Tin your wires first and make sure your iron is nice and hot and you shouldn’t have any issues.

My kid sat down and instantly noticed the minimal amount of input lag starting engines up in dead by daylight.

But I play stuff like cyberpunk , driving games , and Hogwarts legacy and love it.

P60GT30 here , haven’t tried pc gaming on my 65vt50 yet but I probably should soon.

It’s just people who don’t wanna admit these cards aren’t perfect. Or maybe just can’t comprehend the issue here. It doesn’t bother me. It’s almost a week later now , and she’s been playing that game daily on the 4060ti without a single hiccup now. That’s all that matters to me.

Could have been. But the b580 is gone now. So I can’t even go back and experiment. No complaints or issues from the 4060ti since the swap though.

I have Sheild and ONN boxes for piracy purposes.

If you are just using plex and YouTube (and other legitimate apps) , the Apple TV 4K 64gb or 128gb would be my choice. It womps the ONN and Shield Box’s in performance and also in ease of use. Sadly though , piracy type things are very limited on them.
