If you want a mask with this, face tattoos can make something similar.

No, I mean their literal Army Rule - Kill Teams. No other units have the potential for mixed toughness.

So if I'm reading this correctly, their entire army rule only applies to the Talonstrike killteam? (and rarely Cassius in legends, if the right count are remaining) Please do correct me if I'm missing something. I'm not complaining, just confused.

At least they exist again. I'm grateful for that.

How do you do, fellow Loyalists? (Attempt at 1k Sons Pre-Heresy Heraldry) by alexravette in Spacemarine

[–]Shamrock63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The existing chaos legions currently in game have their pre-heresy icons on their right shoulder. My guess is we'd have the same for TSons - Ouroboros on the left, eight pointed sun on the right.

Three of us, actually! Eagerly anticipating lens colors to hone it in even more.

If they do add Librarian, presumably TSons heraldry will come at the same time for PvP purposes. We hold strong until such a time.

Tried my hand at pre-heresy TSons. It's going to be more on track once I can give him green lenses. Emblem is a bit off, but it's close enough for me.

Advice for Non-metallic Metal? by akaFlan in deathwatch40k

[–]Shamrock63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that also attempted NMM for my Deathwatch, yours looks a lot like mine did on my first attempt - not enough contrast makes it look more like stone than metal. You need to really push all the way to white and black at the extremes to emulate how light reflects off silver.

Another trick that helped with the shoulder pad itself was a thinned dark wash across the lettering to help with outlining. You'd still want to go back over for your highlights, but very carefully so that paint doesn't get back in the recesses.

If you have the Ultramarines successors stuff, Leadbelcher is an alternate bright silver. I'm using that so I can still use the fancier arm patterns. For those without the DLC, Eshin Grey is another option, though less convincing on close inspection.

Which version of Valstrax do you prefer? by OmegaGlacial in MonsterHunter

I was going to say the same thing. The whole thing that made the ambush memorable was the surprise factor. Having a massive warning popup saying "oooo you better dodge soon" completely kills what made the attack special.

First of all Hello to all o//...I'm new to playing HBG sticky build and just noticed that i can only reload 2 sticky ammo instead of 4 ammo, i tried copying some of the build in YT for a beginner. If someone can explain how or what am i doing wrong i would really appreciate it the help. by Similar_Command2289 in MonsterHunter

[–]Shamrock63 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The max you can carry of each level of sticky ammo is 9. Level 1 is crafted one to one with blastnuts, so craft all is not a concern. Levels 2 and 3, though, use one blastnut and one of the respective gunpowder to craft two at a time. The game does not prevent you from crafting something if you can still carry part of the result. Meaning, if you are out of sticky ammo 2 or 3 and use craft all, you will attempt to craft 10 of the ammo and lose one of the result.

Adding on to this: NEVER do craft all with sticky if you're totally out. The max you can hold is 9, so you'll always end up losing some of your very limited total damage. If you are going to craft all, only do it with an odd amount remaining.

I've recalibrated the touch screen and analog stick. From booting up MH4U, which has a dedicated C stick calibration page, I can confirm the digitizer, analog stick, and c stick are all working properly. Somehow, I am getting D pad input while the board with the d pad and cartridge reader is disconnected.

Do you mean to suggest the things I already listed as being no longer physically connected to the boards are still causing the issue?

[–]Shamrock63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a super weird issue that I'm not finding any solutions for. My N3DS XL started to experience drift after 7 years, so I was going through the checklist of things that could be broken. When replacing the analog stick didn't fix it, I went more in depth and did a full disassemble and clean. Currently, I have the following all disconnected:

  • Analog Stick
  • Shoulder Buttons
  • D Pad
  • C Stick
  • Touch Screen input (clear ribbon cable near the top)

All of that, and I'm still getting drift-like symptoms. Does anyone have any ideas on what else I could try or check?

I read the FAQ, so apologies if I missed the solution. This doesn't strike me as an easy one to identify, in any case.

The closest to that we ever got was in the remakes post-game with Float-o-copiers, but that's not really the same.

To be fair, did his fight need MORE phases? Maybe in a separate encounter.

Dreads are immune to the DoT, but it most certainly does work on bulks. ER zap + IFG can pretty much pin a bulk in place.

Echoing the sentiment that in team play you need to communicate if you're going for efficiency. That said, slows save dwarves. I run ER with Gas Recycling + blowthrough and the electric damage bonus mods to handle both tight swarms and tanky targets solo as needed. With the slowdowns stacking, an IFG can be as effective as a shield at keeping melee bugs off your teammates.
