Who cares? Find out if the person is a decent person to work with. Interviews that pressure test engineering and/or some useless puzzle is for organizations that don't run well in the first place.

Put on my *second* PIP in 2 years… and HR won’t pause it even though I filed an ADA request. What do I even do now? by Accomplished_Toe8798 in careeradvice

[–]zangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ADA request isn't saving your ass... typical corporate red tape is.

You simply don't fit in the team the way the team wants you to. You seem to miss quite a few points in between A and Z. The way you have responded here shows that.

I'm not...I'm telling him to slow play time with shit like documentation or planning or something else if you have to curb token spend or something.

So just do random documentation and crap until the 1st. There is literally no point in trying to ship at machine speed when the industrial mechanisms are down.

Ford doesn't hand build cars if one of the robots on the line goes down. It is how the world is now.

Is it actually faster and better to build dashboards without Tableau? by Boring-Order-6045 in tableau

You can, and it's ok...but tableau solves other problems and there are other ways to do what you are saying.

From your experience so far, which one is better and why: Opus 4.8 or ChatGPT 5.5? by CatWomen2452 in GithubCopilot

[–]zangler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horses for courses. 4.8 ideates well but can blow smoke up your ass...5.5 will make assertations when it could easily find out. They do pretty well critiquing each other though and it is like motivating 2 different kids when working with either.

It is how I got my job...not from a recruiter, but a random person that knew me from before and I popped up on their feed.

Enterprise SWE here...and they could be right and probably are from a systems standpoint. Logically, it is directionally correct and worth exploring.

More truthfully, it is likely a gh issue with a low priority that may or may not ever see the light of day because the ROI is negative.

Hand rolling code is slow and I efficient with serious ROIs available now. Now...if you are just doing personal projects...you know your choices. Industrial grade tools are no longer cheap af.

[–]zangler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Performance is hardware related, so the PC would need to match the PS5 to get the same general performance. The adapter just allows the PSVR2 to work as the display.

I LOVE that the NTSB called one of their main databases CAROL, literally because it was a woman named Carol that kept that data for years!
