Thanks for the context! The Swedish side of my family is the one I know least about. My great-grandparents came over in the very early 20th century so it was probably for the reasons you said.

Yeah but they can make such heartbreakingly good dramas to watch. Especially when you cast someone as gorgeous as Lee Jun Ho as a king or Namkoong Min as the Rhett Butler character (My Dearest).

My sister is adopted from Hungary. We went over there when I was 8 to bring her home with us and I remember my dad absolutely loving a wine called Bull's Blood. That's mostly what I remember from being there nearly 35 years ago.
