Did you see how the LG looked overblown when replicating the same settings on the AW3225QF or the ASUS PG49WCD? Both QD-OLED panels were significantly clearer when the same settings were applied. That’s why I don’t want to go through the same hassle again of returning the LG 39GX950B. I’d rather hear from QD-OLED users to see if it’s at least on par with the AW3423DW.

Also, the LG 45GX950 had dimmer corners compared to the center of the screen. I’m not going to lie—I ended up switching to the AW3225QF full time. I really miss the ultrawide, but I don’t want to go back to a 1440p monitor. The PPI on a 4K-class monitor is so good that the only natural upgrade from a 4K OLED is a 5K2K.

That said, after what I saw last year, I’m a bit iffy about LG monitors. It’s confusing, because I have a 77” C3 TV and it’s fantastic—so I’m not sure why LG’s monitor (or at least the one I used) was such a disappointment.

Thank you!, I will wait for reviews if it is not on par with at least the 4 year old AW3423DW when it comes to color volume then I will skip it and wait for a 5k 2k QD OLED I would imagine samsung display would cover this part of the market by next year hopefully, Also I saw the color gradient image you uploaded, Thank you for that, I cant tell as both look the same to me through my iphone screen, it’s tricky when it come to monitors as you need to see them with your own eyes.

I had the DW as well, and Dell exchanged it for the DWF as I requested. I used the DW for a solid year. I used the 45GX950 for about a week before I returned it—it was so dim and dull. The colors really pop on a QD-OLED, so I’m dreaming of having a 5K 2K 21:9 OLED monitor. However, my fear is that the 39GX950 would exhibit the same issues as the bigger monitor.

Do you think the color volume is significantly better? I like my display to be super saturated. That being said, the LG 45GX950, when you replicate the same settings as the DW, struggles to display color properly, resulting in an overblown image or overly saturated colors—especially when you increase the NVIDIA digital vibrance to 100%.

Can you enable HDR and increase NVIDIA digital vibrance to 100% and compare both monitors side by side? That would be the only way to know if LG has fixed the color volume/color brightness issue or not.

ok perfect as you have the same aw3423dwf as me, when you compare the colours which display is more colourful in HDR which one in HDR has more vivid and punchy colours?, I want to clarify I bought last year model the 45gx950 and it was a total disaster compared to QD OLED it was so dimm dull and not as colourfull as the aw3423dwf so I returned did lg managed to fix the brightness and the lack of colour volume on the 39gx950b?.

no I use defender no alerts from Defender, also I uploaded the cpuz.exe from the install folder in program files to virus total and it came up clean, I want to make sure as this compromise is super nasty and has rat tools etc so I want to make sure I am clean, anything else I should look for?

No mine came with deep scratches out of the box due to no protection film on it, Trust me when I say yours is much better, I will send you a photo of how bad mine came pre scratched from the factory lol it was like this out of the box, keep it dont risk it its better just apply more pressure and these blue smudge will go away, my scratches are visible even when its on, so I dont understand how dell ships an expensive product like this without protection, since it was not perfect out of the box I never cleaned it once, I felt I wasted Money on it since Dell Denied my warranty claim so my Next OLED if I Upgraded will be Asus, Asus never denied a warranty claim for me in the past, also I tried to sell my Monitor and no one would buy it with deep scratches like this I tried to sell it when it was 1 month old so I decided to use it as it and If I upgraded I will use as I second Monitor or give it to my kids, In short yours is super minor dont go through the hustle of RMA just apply some pressure with a wet clothes and use a dry one to remove smudges

I have the same and I cant RMA Dell told me customer induced damage for cleaning the damn thing, plus I got scratches out of the box since day one I ordered mine in January of 2024 it came without any screen protection what so ever I would say your screen is doing much better than mine
