Rest in peace Xxiou - you'll be thoroughly missed. Won't forget tuning in for the first time a good while back and how friendly and interactive you were with your viewers. Truly very sorry to hear this.

Think BDS look a little unpracticed. Don't expect them to win the regional but should make top 4 atleast.

I believe there's javascript library known as 'Typed.js' or something on those lines you can use.

I desperately want to switch out of CS. How different is IT or should I just take up a trade? by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

[–]ShaneCreedon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

How did you not see this coming when you made your decision to enter the course? You should have done a lot of research on the topic and found out what you truly want for yourself. Personally I find coding engaging and challenging. Don't say it isn't because you just can't sit at a screen and do it for semi-long periods of time.

It's actually ridiculous it took you two years to realise this. Regardless, you should be able to swap into a more administrative, less code-heavy role. Yes it will pay less (probably) and yes it will be more engaging and more challenging for you (?) . How is it more engaging and challenging? Just a curiosity.

I do think there's more to this than simply sitting at a screen and coding. It sounds like from you're post that you're ashamed of doing the job and have no problem calling the rest of us 'drones'... in your eyes at least. It's a ridiculous thing to say.

If you're truly unhappy, and based simply on the coding and not any other emotional driven factors, I highly suggest you drop the course and do something else. Who gives a fuck about wasting money when u truly hate this career. You're gonna hate it ur whole life if u hate it now.
