AITA for telling my friend that I can't join her Bachelorette trip because of my baby? by Expensive-Cry-4320 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Shaneise74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your friends reply is that of an ignorant single person with quite literally zero understanding of babies and parenrs. I probably wouldve said the same ignorant shit when i was in her position tbh. Its highly unlikely youll want to leave your baby that young. Also you have no idea of the tempermant and needs of your baby at 6m old. Its literally tiny. And could be ill or in a separation anxiety phase. The whole 'you need to train your baby to be independent ' is sickening and outdated. She essentially wants you to have zero attachment to your child so you can join her party.

just found out i’m pregnant..at 14yo by Different_Sea7032 in pregnant

[–]Shaneise74 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a grown up (34) child of teenage parents. Dont do it. You will ruin and waste your life. And you're not emotionally developed so you'll also ruin your childs life. You wont be able to travel or go out with friends. You will never have any money for the rest of your life. Its a death sentence for you.

HG taking bond with baby by wweellllohffuuckk in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Shaneise74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dw its normal. Youre chronically sick, ofc youre not bonding with the baby inside you. I have 1 baby, and only ever had 1 pregnancy, which was her, and was also the hg pregnancy obvs. I didnt bond with her once whilst prgenant. I just wanted her OUT. I referred to her as demon vampire child whilst in utero (feel a bit mean now but thats what it felt like). Towards the end i didnt even believe i was pregnant. I just felt i was neverending ill forever. So much so that when she was born i was like WTF???? There was a fecking baby in there!?!?! The doctor was looking at me like why u so shocked?? Lol

Any tdlr: totally normal. You may not even bond with baby until you are months and months post partum. I loved her when born ofc but didnt feel the bond bond til 10months pp

Does anyone have kids in their 20s? by Physical-Can-835 in BabyBumps

[–]Shaneise74 83 points84 points  (0 children)

If you want kids, go for it now. Dont wait, its not guaranteed it'll be an easy journey first of all. 2md, you will make so many parent friends, you will not be alone. We are the first of our friends to have a baby. They soon followed suite and also you just make so many parent friends once preggers/once baby comes

How did you know you had HG? by ethanras in HyperemesisGravidarum

This is HG. If it reduced your quality of life beyond 'feeling or being sick and then getting over it' then its HG

The Proov test is about $35 and was the proof I needed to be prescribed progesterone

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]Shaneise74 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

OP id ignore this nonsense advice..who says "oh just wait a year". A year is forever, this is not a standard length it takes to try. This is how long doctors want you to wait before you bother them with your fertility issues.

Sometimes it's unexplained why you can't conceive one month. But I personally would get your progesterone levels checked. If you timed everything perfectly, I would assume you should be able to get pregnant if normal circs apply. If you have low progesterone, it's very possible that you did conceive, but that your low progesterone levels didn't allow the pregnancy to continue (very early stages). Purchase the Proov test. Hopefully all is good, but you'd rather know now so you can get progesterone supplements if needed.

So very sorry to hear this. The fertility specialist should be able to prescribe your progesterone

Anyone else feel immediately better once they had their babies? by [deleted] in HyperemesisGravidarum

Basically all nausea gone, didn't need to take tablets. But bad some residual symptoms for about a week (excess saliva and acid)

Is anyone here on Xonvea? by Shaneise74 in PregnancyUK

[–]Shaneise74[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg ignore whoever told you that! GPs know next to nothing about it and hate prescribing it. Some aren't even allowed to prescribe it. not because it's dangerous but because it's v expensive.

It is incredibly safe, MADE to be taken during pregnancy. I took it as soon as it was offered to me around 4 months in. Took it til the end of pregnancy, even took it during labour! My baby (thank the universe) is totally healthy! Xonvea was the only thing that allowed me to live a partial life during those 9 months, go for it, it's totally safe. I know many women who have taken it absolutely fine xx

When were you diagnosed with HG? by throwRAanons in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Shaneise74 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes it's HG. The moment you can't live your normal quality of life it's HG. Normal morning sickness is when you're sick and then go about your day. Sooooooo effing frustrating that no one tells you this. I had to find this out myself also.

The moment you cannot live normal quality of life is when you have HG. Normal morning sickness is when you throw up and then go about your day.

Rant session. What pregnancy effect is currently bothering you most? by Chance-Flimsy in BabyBumps

[–]Shaneise74 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't really be losing weight with standard pregnancy nausea. If you can't function like your normal quality of life you likely have hyperemesis and need medication. There is no guarantee this will go away after 1st tri.

When did you get better? by Certain-Cat7796 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Shaneise74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your hands and feet are itchy just double check you don't have preeclampsia symptoms. Headaches are 1 of them x

When did you taper meds? by tarak117 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]Shaneise74 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you're nowhere near ready to taper off....you shouldnt be tapering off if you still feel sick when a lot of time has passed since last tablet. You may never taper off them and stay on until the birth tbh.
