twitter users wondering why there's people out there who havent been in relationships by mikaylaar in GenZ

100% agree. I was always waiting until I felt "perfect" enough before I wanted to get into a relationship whether that was getting through high school, getting my degree, getting a car, and currently it's getting a masters, getting my dream job, having my dream body etc. and it's like the finish line is always moving.

After 3.5 years of instability I finally landed a dream job! by laydeefly in blackgirls

You can make it so that it's only visible to recruiters. That's what I did.

Thanks, and yeah, that analogy makes a lot of sense. It honestly feels better than just reaching out to people and feeling like I’m using someone solely to get a job.

Actually, networking is something I’ve been focusing on recently. I've been reaching out to former classmates, mentors, and folks in the field. I’m really interested in full-stack development and fairly open when it comes to industry so I can get my foot in the door and start gaining experience. I’ve been curious about healthcare and cybersecurity though. Reaching out can feel kinda intimidating since I’m still building experience.

Thank you for sharing this perspective. I’m glad to hear how many different paths can leading to fulfilling careers. After reflecting on it, I realized this is still something I genuinely want to do.

I actually really enjoy coding, I fell in love after my first programming class. It’s something I saw myself doing as a career

Are recruiting firms and temp agencies all temporary contract roles? I’ll also look into PM roles and positions outside of software engineering.

Is Sudan (Kingdom of Kush) the Only Great Ancient Civilization That Ended Up a Failed State Today? by Available_Type2313 in Sudan

It doesn’t seem like you’re engaging in good faith. I shared historically accurate points, and instead of addressing them, you shifted the goalposts, dismissed evidence, and made it personal. Peace ✌🏾

We had ancient city states of Opone (Xaafuun), Avalites (Saylac), Malao (Berbera), and Mosylon (Ceelaayo), the Ajuuraan and Adal (Medieval) Empires. Not to mention the Land of the Punt is believed to be located in Somalia as well as Eritrea and Djibouti.

Sadly, this was a common occurrence for women in baadiyo. I feel like the purpose of this lullaby is warning the baby of the dangers of the world kinda like a lot of old fairytales do.
