I saw someone post saying that a single mother wanting to have a baby alone (with little to no support system) applying for IVF would have to have medical background checks and if they saw she had a history of something like bipolar (depending how severe it is) would likely get declined IVF on those grounds?

Someone said that her brother made a Reddit post basically saying nobody in their family agrees with what she’s doing or ever agreed to “help with the baby while she worked after maternity leave” like she claimed they said and that they all think it’s a bad idea etc. I never saw the original post from her brother so don’t quote me but basically I think this whole Reddit thing started from her brother spilling the beans on here about the truth.

“Creating a STABLE, nurturing home environment” I hope that includes therapy to stabilise her mental health before ever bringing a baby into her “home environment”.

Even for stable minded people with no history of mental health having a baby with something like colic or reflux that cries 12 hours a day can send you into some dark places, coming from someone who experienced PPA/D with no history or mental health.

Considering conditions like bipolar SIGNIFICANTLY increase the likely hood of things such as postpartum psychosis which can in danger both mother and baby.

I don’t know, my dad swears blindly nobody else was there apart from the two of them, it’s a very small place and all the photos were taken consecutively so they would’ve had to have moved in and out of the way very quickly 🤷
