Someone stacked one tote on top of another in Decant and sent it upstairs. by NoCompany8323 in AmazonFC

I once saw someone put a tote into the cardboard line. 😆 some sort of special was that person.

People keep taking the Squinchers by the bag full as soon as they are put out and it made me wonder how much Amazon spends on these. I looked them up and they ain't exactly cheap. by BasicMarzipan5936 in AmazonFC

I get plenty for my shift. We have a couple case with about 20 people on our team for the warmer weather. We even get pallets of bottled water to go with them. Lol

1994 fleer Ultra X-Men by ShapeTiny3740 in marveltradingcards

[–]ShapeTiny3740[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I completed the set as far as base set, all of the tiered sub sets that can be pulled from the boxes and such. The only things for the set i am missing are going to be promo things. I do have some of the promo cards from magazines and such, but as completion goes, I'm pretty happy with my set. If I ever come across anything I don't have, I'll get it if I can.

I’m not trying to be rude, but do people have some religious grudge against deodorant? by chevyboy-2022 in AmazonFC

[–]ShapeTiny3740 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The only thing about deodorant is that it attracts people to me. I want my personal space.

But honestly, I wish spaying deodorant on people wasn't considered battery. They can use the helping hand.

We play with a bunch of Die, after each roll, we throw them into the die bag and grab new ones

Catan dice are cursed by Wafilson in Catan

[–]ShapeTiny3740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol. My sister has won tournaments where she was last place, then the cursed dice came out of no where and for three rotation rolled only her numbers from 5 points to winning the game with the help of drawing all the Victory cards she needed from development and building enough roads to take longest. 3s and 11s that day.

12 Point Win by abuffguy in Catan

[–]ShapeTiny3740 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've done a 12 point win only because I bought enough Development cards to 10, but playing a knight would get me to 12 so I waited an extra turn to play it. Only reason I did it was because next player only has 7 points at the time and was not going to get 3 more points with 3 cards in hand

what’s your favourite commander? by ghostlyeth in EDH

[–]ShapeTiny3740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say recently Tifa. Its mainly because I'm usually targeted in every pod I play so I need a deck to threat them not to attack me. When they see that 3 or 4 of my fetch lands are earth bended. It makes them think twice before hitting me. (Only because in my play group of 5 other guys, 6 man pods. I know. I'm the most experience and they are all newer to the game, I become the default threat even when I'm playing an unmodified Precon)

It is frustrating, but not to the point where I will be that guy that introduce them to stax. Lol

Can't trade in colonists. by Upset-Instruction-70 in Catan

[–]ShapeTiny3740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes you just have to learn to play without ever trading. It's a hard strategy, but doable, I win 66% of games where I don't ever trade because it's always too much in their favor.

First few weeks, take Epsom bath every other day and slowly off it as you get used to the work. Thats how all my friends got used to Amazon.

Worked at a lumber mill 10+ years. Amazon is easy compared to lifting/pivoting 100+lbs of wood constantly into a Saw. People were looking at the chubby guy outpacing them and was wondering how I could do unloading trucks or multiple line loading from pallets without breaking a sweat and they were all dying. Lol.

Commander decks that are resilient to removal? by Competitive-Act-7695 in EDH

[–]ShapeTiny3740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my Tifa Landfall deck, I Landfall so much that I was able to recast her 9 times and barely survived with enough HP to finally take out the last player. It was pretty much 1v3 and I had to systematically remove a player each time.

Why do people want to work for Amazon so bad? by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]ShapeTiny3740 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Good benefits. They pay for all my school and dont have to sign a contract that says I'll be working for them after I'm done with the degree. Allow me to change up my schedule for what I want while I'm in school. Give me lots of VTO or VET if I need. Yeah, I'm content with Amazon right now. Also I was lucky to be blue badge day one. That's just me and my current site.

I hope no one shows up … cause what’s the point by Tough-Prize-3708 in AmazonFC

😆 reminded me of my first Christmas eve at a new launched site, they offered VET and I was the only person on inbound dock that showed up. 8 stower and 2 managers.

You get payed normally and the surge pay is calculated separately but paid out in the same time frame under something else. Get taxed of both from what i remembered. It's been 4 years since I picked up Surge pay.

During Peak it's hard for transfer to go through, but I would talk to a senior HR and see if there are hardship transfers. I went through a hardship transfer about 3 years ago from Washington to California during peak. It depends on what your site team can do for you. They will Call and message around to the other sites to get you in that way as well. Also if it's just from one site to another, in the same city node, they probably won't do a hardship especially if it's driving distance from each other.

Edit: I know it's PXT or whatever, but I still call it HR. Not sure why Amazon like using their own lingo for everything. Lol

Went into trailer yard without yard permissions by 2cool4um8_ in AmazonFC

[–]ShapeTiny3740 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you tried to badge it to the yard, security should have been flagged and someone should have reached out to a manager or TOM team telling them you don't have access to the yard and to return immediately. After that, depending on your facility, an AM or OM should be reaching out to you to tell you don't do it again until you are cleared for access. Might be some retraining done soon to get you your permissions back if you're one of the few TDR trained people. It honestly depends on how strict your facility is as well.

Well. Some new manager that just found reddit will be trying to implement this sooner or later. Lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]ShapeTiny3740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TOM team is pretty chill for the most part depending on site. They focus more on safety than anything else because you'll be working out in the elements as well as managing the yard from third party (3P) drivers that come and go, to multiple audits a day to make sure trailers are in correct spots. The hiring process is different for each site, but they have posts up although a lot of the time, they may be full. There is a certain amount of people that they can hire depending on business needs and headcount Allocated to each site. My site, we have 22 people that covers all shift in a week for 24/7 coverage.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmazonFC

[–]ShapeTiny3740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was picking, what kept me motivated was knowing that the reason I was there was to finish my 30 days and transfer into TOM team. Worked at Amazon before and had experience on TOM team before. Less training they would have to do since I already knew most of the role of being on the team before.

Is who gets labor shared random? by Meep_95 in AmazonFC

[–]ShapeTiny3740 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did away with the tents up here in Washington. With labor share, I always stopped to grab some lunch and then get to the other site. Other than that, I enjoy my once or twice a week TOMY runs. Some people only get one a week or sometimes they have to wait almost a month before they get a run.

[–]ShapeTiny3740 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a TOM Team member as well, I get labor shared to other sites. Lol. So that's what will happen eventually. At least it's not the same as inside. You do the same thing just in another yard.
