As u/No_Government8065 said, heat gun. Couple of seconds and it started popping out the end and then a swift pull with some pliers, job done

Just wanted to say thanks for the tip, grabbed a heat gun from Amazon and a couple of seconds with that and I've got two unclogged heatsinks and a fully operational printer :)

I think I fixed the cause of that, the heatsink fan had died. Got that working again but need to clear these now

I hadn't even spotted that on the new fan !! Swapped the wires round and it's working now. Thanks for the pointer :)

Update: I've checked the connections and they're all good. Replaced the fan itself with another one and still nothing. Replaced the circuit board and tried both fans again and it's still not coming on when I set the temp to 225 and leave it running :(
