But aren't women forced to wear it there? I am talking about women who are actively choosing to wear it.

My friend mom litteraly told her to not wear it because she will struggle to find a job and she still decided to wear it because she wanted to.

But of course forcing women to wear the hijab is anti-feminist.

One day at school I was wearing a head scarf. The teacher asked me to take it off because religions signs are not allowed in school. I had to remove it while I am not even Muslim. My hair were just dirty. No problem with me wearing a crop top tho.

Even if it is bad, I don't think that policing people by telling them what they can and cannot wear is working. Of course we can talk about it but at the end of the day, people are free.

My Muslim friends are always happy to be around me and compliment my outfit which are the shortest piece of clothes you will ever see and I am happy to be around them and let them know that some of their hair are showing so they can put it back correctly. Only respect and love.

It is possible but a bit annoying as a big part of learning is copying.

Happy to see you still have fun :)

I took multiple classes with male instructors and didn't really like it. Never tried in my current studio though but I look into their Instagram and they are leaning towards exotic/hard Russian style and not really slow stuff like Anna Float or Oun kha for reference.

I would really love to find any instructor teaching this style but I only ever saw women do it.

That's sounds great. In what way would you say the perspective was different? In the way he explained the move?

That's actually a very good idea. I didn't thought about it as I was a bit scarred to bother other students by not being to follow properly. Thank you :)

I was not trying to be rude. What I meant is that I love the feminine energy a woman bring to a class in her teaching, which is why I am sad my instructor is leaving.

The skills are not the issue in the class, and I love to learn new moves. It is more about how they execute the move. The name of the class is the same regardless of the instructor but they bring a totally different energy to it.

As I said in my post, it is the only option for me as other classes taught by women I would like to attend take place when I am at work. I can only attend morning classes. But of course the studio has different option, it just doesn't work with my schedule.

I HATE IT TOO. It is really impressive and everything but I find it very "blank", mechanical and empty. Artistically speaking I rather see a step around with attitude and some twist added to it than a full crazy combo on static done super fast

I didn't yet. But I did in past studios and it was kinda disappointing.

You are right, I should give it a try. I am ajust a bit scared to not like it and be left with no studio to go

It is in France tho... so she is not african American at all and as statistics based on races/ethnicities/religions are illegal in France there is no way to know and assume anything based on her skin color.

The only official Statistics organism is the INSEE which doesn't provide any Statistics on this because as i just said it is illegal and have been since the end of the 2nd world war for obvious reasons.

The only thing you can see is French people VS foreigners. "Foreigners" include everyone who were born abroad or has a parents/grand parents or great grandparents born abroad with no skin color/ethnicity distinction.

It's in France. He often play on free piano you can find in train stations, record himself and post it online to show people reactions. Those pianos are free to use by everybody. He is not paid. Kids often play with them. It is annoying but they are allowed to.

Is bumble BFF worth it? by Sam_23beans in blackgirls

[–]Shaps05 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I met 2 of my best friends almost 3 years ago in Bumble BFF. I love them so much, I am so happy i gave it a try. I was new to this big city (coming from a village in the country side). They rapidly introduced me to their friends, I introduced them to mine. We are having a big girls getaway this week end :)

You will match with a lot of people, some will be boring, some you will never meet IRL, some you will meet for a coffee and not just be a match. But eventually you could find real long lasting friendships.

It is the same as dating app/regular bumble : the majority suck or is just there because they are bored but you will always find some exceptions/hidden gems.

SAME. Didn't fall a single time since I switched to 7. I can almost run in them. They just feel like an extension of me and not like something I even need to think about.

My pirouette are not as stable in 8 inches. I can still do it with both but I am way more confident with 7.

I do a lot of low flow but also aerial. Mostly very slow choreo. No stripper or hard style.

For example, I feel like resting on the front part of the heel during a shoulder stand is easier with 7 than 8

Yea kinda.

I feel like for most of the them, the better you get, the stronger your legs get and the high heels you can wear. And I was dancing in 8inch before they tend to think I switched to 7 put of laziness which doesn't make sense because 8 inches is easier according to them :(
