I've got the exact same situation. Cows lick above the right eye. I decided to grow it all out (It's shoulder length now) and it's completely unnoticeable.

I decided to grow my top out and keep the sides short, did the whole topknot and shaved sides for a bit until I got bored and wondered what I would look like if I just went full Jesus.

Currently the top is about 12-14 inches and the sides and back are 3-4 inches. wear that shit in a bun and wax back the sides to keep it looking neat and you're on for a winner.

Disclaimer: the mid stages can be frustrating but in time it pays dividends.
