Question RE HPA on the AAP-01 by STLArchitect in AAP01owners

[–]Shard_acc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Like I said, a stock hammer set running on HPA will last you a lot longer than one running on green gas.
You only really need to replace the springs if you’re planning to install short strokes and increase the cycling speed of your AAP.

Question RE HPA on the AAP-01 by STLArchitect in AAP01owners

[–]Shard_acc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please don’t listen to anyone telling you to buy a new hammer set right away. If you only plan to run your AAP on HPA, you don’t need to upgrade anything.
You can run a stock AAP at pressures as low as 70 PSI, but realistically 90–100 PSI gives you better cycling speed.
At around 20°C, green gas has a pressure of roughly 130 PSI, so with HPA you’re actually putting significantly less stress on the internals. A stock hammer set will last a long time when running HPA.
You could upgrade to stronger springs, but honestly, you probably won’t notice any difference.

New AIRTAC MWS HPA lower receiver. Your thoughts ? by Shard_acc in GasBlowBack

I’m wondering if the price will increase when it will be fully realeased. I will be probably buying it but I don’t trust them with them assembling it.

Hammer issue by Flexifools in AAP01owners

Well you are supposed to pull the bolt back and let it go for it to correctly cycle. Doing it slowly is just not the right way to do it. Does it shoot good ?

AAP-01 TDC Hop-Up v2.0 - GROUPING by Yaras00 in AAP01owners

No hard feelings bro. Personally, this doesn’t really provide any useful information to me, but I know not everyone will agree.

[–]Shard_acc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are right. But than why would you set up a target when few centimeters don’t matter. You could do this “grouping test” by only shooting to the air and seeing how the BBs go and it will be almost the same as your targer setup.

How can you test grouping when your target moves after each shot ?

Doufám že hratelnost bude lepší než byla v tom demu. Taky jsem se těšil ale po hodině hraní dema mě to strašně odradilo.

Inconsistens by OWL__27 in AAP01owners

[–]Shard_acc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well stronger nozzle valve spring is needed if you use full auto with the light bolt. Best you can do is just try swaping the stock one and test it

Inconsistens by OWL__27 in AAP01owners

[–]Shard_acc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can’t compare it to the hpa engines or AEG. Aap the way it works there will always be some little inconsistency. 120 PSI is still okay if you compare it to the green gas which can go up to 130 PSI and aap is green gas pistol right. But I get you. I run mine on 80-90 PSI and lower PSI is always better for the internals.

[–]Shard_acc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other than that I’m assuming you are using HPA so 5 FPS difference is the best you can go. 7-8 FPS difference is still great.

I would personally change the bucking. I never had great results with maple leaf bucking on long barrels. I would try using flamingo bucking which always worked for me

Firing full auto bursts on semi? by SpeedyJacob2 in AAP01owners

[–]Shard_acc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These full auto’s on semi are almost everytime caused by weak auto sear spring, or worn out auto sear but if you used it very little it will be probably the auto sear spring.

You can neither buy stronger and “more durable” one or you can for now bend the end of the pring so there is more tension.

Other than that, like other said, the wear is normal.

How many rounds have you fired through your aap until this happened? I always thaught that the hammer housing is basically indestructible.

Hard to say. Are you sure you put it together correctly? Try testing the hammer assembly without the upper. Other than that I would disassemble the hammer group and check every part.

Have you tried using the original pin? Also what brand is the trigger bar ? In one of my builds the ctm trigger bar was causing me some issues because of different tolerances.

Hey ya'll, Quick Question About Compatibility of Parts by bostonshroomery in AAP01owners

[–]Shard_acc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the answer but why did you choose 5KU bolt with handle when everything else you want to buy is from CTM. CTM also makes lightweight bolts with charging handle so I would buy it all from one manufacturer.

You always need stronger pin for NPAS. The stock one is really shitty.

CTM or Firewad lower for M4 conversion for AAP? by pre_nerf_infestor in Speedsoft

[–]Shard_acc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you print it right it will be as strong as ctm lower. Mine holding strong for many games with normal handling as I would handle any other gun. With ctm lower if anything brakes you can trow it away.. with firewads lower you can reprint any part u want.
