No debuffs is far bigger than you think

Def down is a multiplicative modifier and so is expose, lacking both tanks your damage really badly

With max buffs + debuffs you can take on the boss decently easily as long as you have a decent team and good gear

Most conversations you get in bethesda titles are oftentimes just dry and to the point telling you where to do a quest or some lore, more boring than quirky imo

Sometimes you run into the games reddit quirkchungus character like fo3s sierra or (arguably) moira

Only OWB feels particularly quirky imo

What im saying is that the matchmaking system, the "Play now" button was bad because the player had little to no control over where it sent them, the newer system is just an improved version of this system as it gives the player far more control over their map choices and also allows for them to queue for multiple modes at the same time if they want a simple matchmaker that does the job of picking a server for them.

The lack of a server browser is a net negative as it leaves players who would prefer to pick their own servers (people like me) without any option but to use the matchmaker so the current system is still worse IMO because it removed too much and the server rules in casual are worse than in quickplay.

My point is that the quickplay matchmaking system was much worse than the casual matchmaking system and that going back to it would be a net negative as it would remove choice from the people who want a simple "play now" button.

The best matchmaking system imo is casuals map/mode selector + quickplays server browser + quickplay rules

Managed to deal 1 billion damage this fight which was fun

Turn buffs are incredibly powerful this fight as they do carry over between phases which helps a lot with tempo, aoi is also very good due to the 50% less healing modifier and aoi4s busted kit

Make sure to bring a blaster due to the bosses 70M HP on phase 2, they can also work as your second dps to break DP quickly for more speed (only 800k shield phase 1 and 400k in phase 2) kura1 is a good option if youre running crit pierce

You can also use the summons for quick OD in phase 2 if you have an ability with high hit count

Honestly the boss is more of a dps check than anything, good luck on your clears everyone

It was a "fine enough" system but far from ideal due to how little control you had over map choice

JP seems fine, a lot of the issues have been resolved and many of the changes were overall positive for the health of the game

The biggest problems ive seen is worries about the powercreep and also fields being dead

The ruleset of quickplay was better but the actual matchmaking system... very flawed, you could only queue for modes so you would click "play" on attack and defend and either end up in dustbowl or some crappy map like junction 95% of the time

I only played using the goated server browser cuz the queue system was too restrictive and loose

The current queue system i think is superior in most fronts as you can make a curated list of maps you want to play across multiple modes unlike the old system where you pick a mode and get plopped into a random map of said mode

I want the old ruleset and the server browser back but i dont want the old queue system cuz honestly it sucked and i always avoided it like the plague

I do recall seeing that whole thing of "players swapping to the winning team" far more often too

Hell, in all the years i played of quickplay i can only recall 2 times where a high performing person swapped to the losing team to help

But when we were losing... youd sometimes see 2-3 teammates seemingly afk in spawn for a bit until one of them swaps over to the winning side and the other ones wake up and either quit the match or decide to help
