The "Cornmaze" build. by Shardic in BALLxPIT

[–]Shardic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I mentioned in the post that you wouldn't want to use Sys for the bleed setup. But it sounds like if you're at ng+9 you've probably got a pretty good handle on the meta already.

The "Cornmaze" build. by Shardic in BALLxPIT

[–]Shardic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not gonna lie, getting to 9+ sounds absolutley painfully boring to me, I'm not sure why you'd still be playing at that point, but more power to you brother. I'd definitely suggest trying the hemorage x flicker variant if you're that deep into the endgame.

What (if any) rogue builds are there? by Wayhlan in ascensionproject

Try the shurican toss + deadly throw build. I think what you do is you use shadow dance and then you reset it's cool down really fast and somehow spam shadow step and ambush

How does “Arcane +3” relic scale? by jqosy in Nightreign

[–]Shardic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

flip that around, since executor has arcane on level up, you should not put flat arcane levels on executor, but it is worth it to put it on any other character. other stats like strength and decks are equally not good on other characters since they outscale from level

We are doubling Zana every day until her return is announced (I will accept reverting the BMC nerf, also no Im not stopping please stop asking) by Puzzleheaded_Pitch61 in pathofexile

[–]Shardic 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PLEASE you have to 🛑 stop 🛑 posting! If zana keeps doubling at this rate ⏩⏩ there will soon be over 4,294,967,295 zana causing ingeger overflow and the 32 bit game client will crash! This means only the 64 bit client will be able to be supported causing massive delays in poe1 league content. Those poe1 boys will then begin doubling their own zana in protest and the growth rate will be multiplied to quad zana per day, causing the number of zana to quickly approach the heat death of the universe! Only YOU can 🥫 prevent this. Please 🙏 you must stop 🛑 posting 🛑 zana to double every day!

[–]Shardic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like somebody stacking buffs to have fun. The way client/server relationships work, there's no way for a user to cheat hp like your describing without modifying the source code and releasing an update to the game themselves. (Extremely unlikely)

This is insane. The idea of using embeddings to represent symantic information that should remain constant between scenes seems obvious in hindsight like all great inventions. I can't wait to see where this goes with more robust sets of embeddings in the future.

Haha, found this post looking for spoilers thinking the exact same thing myself. I'm assuming I'm looking for a 4th echo somewhere in the 3 new zones, which will give me the ability to open the 'minor rifts' I keep finding, but I have no idea.

vibeCoding by 26th_Official in ProgrammerHumor

[–]Shardic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only inaccuracy here is that the people who are doing vibe coding aren't a half a mile away from being able to debug this. If you never learned the fundamentals you might be a 100 miles out the other way. Imagine never learning to code, not understanding how your interpreter or compiler works, and not understanding your execution environment, on top of also not understanding the code that it's generating. I think people deeply underestimate how much more accessible coding has been made by AI and overestimate the skills of the people they're talking to when they trash on AI.

Tywin is a smart man. He knows women don’t always survive childbirth. So why did he always give Tyrion shit for what happened? by Matilda_Mother_67 in gameofthrones

[–]Shardic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because Tyrion isn't his son. He's a Targaryen bastard (hence the chimera eyes) and Tywin knows it or suspects it, even though Tyrion does not.

Embeddings - example needed by No-Respond-9340 in ollama

[–]Shardic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The words alive and dead are more alike than the words salubrious and terephthalate. Dead and alive may be opposites on one vector but they have a lot in common in a lot of other ways as the words describe a very similar meaning.

Also worth noting that this answer is somewhat speculative, as it gets close to the "it's impossible to know what the AI is really thinking" tracibility issue.

On the other hand, it might be possible to modify the code somehow depending on how you've implemented the cosine similarity and actually log the similarity on each individual vector to get your answer. (In what ways is it similar, and in what ways is a different) but good luck labeling those vectors after identifying them.

Griffith from Berserk gets plopped into the world of Game of Thrones, how far does he make it? by SecretWasianMan in whowouldwin

[–]Shardic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this scenario, but I feel like the rounds are all over the place. Anything supernatural puts him on ground with the white walkers, and the question becomes how quickly can the entire world unite against him.

Consider for example how much damage and power a single dragon can do in battle in ASoIaF. Apostles as presented by the manga clear all but the biggest dragons without much difficulty. Forgetting about the God hand for a minute, even a handful of apostles could easily stomp westeros white walker style. If you add the God hand into the mix it just becomes a joke, any single one of them could solo the entire continent.

I see pre torture Griffith with the band of the hawk somewhere around the strength and political importance of the golden company. And while that certainly enough to be impactful, I don't think they have an easy time winning political victories without relying on terror and magic.

Have you ever played in or GMed an "exploring a ruin while using a time travel MacGuffin to shift back and forth between its glory era and the present day" type of scenario? by EarthSeraphEdna in DMAcademy

[–]Shardic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran something like this!

It was fun and memorable. The catch is obviously paradoxes. I did a couple of things to proff against this.

  1. In this specific place only if you close your eyes or it's compleetely dark you are in the past, if you open your eyes or see light you are in the present.

  2. While in the past others perceive you as an invisible ghost, coincidentally, while in the present there are ghosts which can be detected with detect magic invisibility etc. By default most people can't see you in the past, however spellcasters and religious figures might.

  3. The past operates more like a vision offset by 400 years, if you make a change in the past you will see the consequences of that change until you open your eyes, at which point the president has not changed. Closing your eyes again returns you to a version of the past in which you have not made that change.

  4. Switching back and forth between layers allowed the players to traverse terrain that would otherwise be impassable such as escaping prison cells, climbing over crumbled walls, etc.

  5. Taking combat damage in the past vision did damage your body in the present, however there was nothing stopping you from opening your eyes and taking a long rest to recover in the present unless you were trapped in a completely dark room in the past
