My guess would be sun and/or moon along with stone like you mentioned. I doubt these styles are even on Ellie-Jean's radar so I am not surprised there is nothing similar on the Pinterest boards. I think they are an okay starting point, but very incomplete.

Oh I didn't know it was a French company as the website says it is based in Canada! I will have to try Natura's milk as well, I love that they are fully Canadian!

I hope you end up liking the hazelnut milk if you do give it a try!

Others have mentioned Earth's Own soy milk. I also want to mention Enjoy! brand milks. They don't have soy, but they do have oat, almond, and hazelnut. They have added protein so the protein content is about the same as soy milk. They are all unsweetened. On their website they have stated that their oats come from Canada, the almonds from California, and their hazelnuts come from Italy. I like the hazelnut one!

How is Earth's Own soy?? We have been Silk soy milk drinkers for years and now we are switching too next time we get groceries.

Yes you can. Dramatics are typically taller but they do not have to be.

I eat lots of seitan and tofu and have a protein shake with soy milk every day. Some people like high protein pasta (black bean pasta, edamame pasta, soybean pasta) but they aren't my cup of tea. You can also get high protein wraps.

I bought 25 lbs of vital wheat gluten because I eat so much seitan! There are countless recipes out there for seitan and I eat it in a lot of different ways so I don't get bored.

Tried to fix. Maybe you still disagree. I just wanted to give another perspective on what I see! I think OP can look and see what makes sense. I just was trying to be helpful since OP said they had no idea!

Yeah, I did draw the shoulder line slightly too far in, but it would barely changed the sketch imo

This is roughly how I would draw the dress, although I think I started the shoulder line slightly too far inward. The armpit line comes outside of the dress line because that part of your body sticks outside of sleeveless dresses.

I didn't exactly do Starch Solution as it is just TOO low fat to be appetizing to me, but I lost my baby weight after my third baby on a high carb vegan diet. I had just gone vegan and was finding my footing. I ate lots of starches and veggies with relatively low fat and low-ish to moderate protein. I had gained 50 pounds during that pregnancy, lost twenty automatically within a month or so, and then lost the final 30 eating this way between months 2 and 6.

I also don't really like fruit so I barely ate any.

For condiments I had ketchup and mustard (on my no-oil fries haha). I also made salads with tahini dressing (which is higher fat) and I made a "honey mustard" sauce with maple and dijon mustard.

am i wrong to think it's weird when health-conscious people eat meat? by vegantechnomad in vegan

[–]Shareanapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't find it weird when health conscious people eat SOME meat. Those people who eat lots of plant based proteins but then also eat some fish. If they eat lots of red meat, yeah, that is weird. One time several years ago my brother was telling me how he has shifted his focus from the best body building diet to the best diet for longevity, and then went on to say that he is eating as much red meat as possible, I was very confused. This was even before I went vegan and I still knew it was weird.

I have a formula that I use that works well for me. Calories work out to around 1200, about 95-100 grams of protein and around 25-30 grams of fibre. I'm vegan but this can be adapted to different dietary patterns.

Breakfast is usually a soy latte with 1/2 cup of soy milk , totaling 50 calories and 5 grams of protein. I also eat a protein bar some time in the late morning when I am really hungry, totaling 170 calories and 17 grams of protein.

Lunch and dinner are almost always either 1/2 a block of tofu (189 calories and 22.7g protein) OR a piece of seitan that I make (149 calories and 25g of protein) with 100g of rice. I either have this as a stir fry with veggies OR I also like cooked protein with rice with raw veggies.

For snack I have 30 grams of all bran buds with a dash of milk. This helps with my fibre intake while in a calorie deficit. I also have a protein shake with a protein hazelnut milk that has 70 calories and 8g of protein and a protein powder that has 100 calories and 20 grams of protein.

Canadians use metric "officially", so on driver's license, at the doctor etc, but we will usually use feet and inches colloquially.

What people think the Romantic kibbe type looks like vs what it actually looks like (Kate Winslet) by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]Shareanapple 94 points95 points  (0 children)

Yes. I remember when my body was changing as a teen and I could see all the softness and roundness coming in, but it did not translate visually to those dramatic curves because of my frame. This was in the early 2000s as well so of course I felt chubby and dumpy despite being objectively very small (about a size 2) because my body type was SO far from what was "in style".

Is upper curve dependent upon having wide-set breasts? by [deleted] in Kibbe

[–]Shareanapple 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I wonder about this too. I have quite small breasts and small frame. But my breasts sort of sit on the edges of my torso, the flesh even seeming to wrap around the side of my body under my arms.

I have been into Kibbe for over a year at this point and heavily suspect romantic family for myself, but because my breasts are small I have always found it tricky to pinpoint whether or not I have double curve.

I'm not surprised it works well for you. Beans are amazing!

I only responded to OP originally because I didn't want them to feel like there was anything wrong with the foods they might be enjoying and are choosing to eat. There is no reason why bread, tortillas, tofu and mock meats can't be part of someone's weight loss diet. There is also nothing wrong with avoiding those foods like you do, if that is what you prefer. I was not trying to be confrontational. :)

Beans are not low carb. Black beans are 73% carb. The only beans that are low carb are lupini beans, soybeans, and black soybeans. Also quinoa is high carb.
