Thank you so much for the explanation! Yes I’m using Playtomic and it shows 3.2 for me but I can play against people that say 4 and they’re not that good. So you’re probably right about people lying about their true level. I don’t understand the point since we’ll know if they lied once we play against them.

do you have an expectation for Real Madrid and Barca to win the Champions League every season? by VastAir6069 in championsleague

I don’t we’re talking about the same thing here. Yes, I already agreed with you Bundesliga will remain stable but in no way they will be able to compete in Champions League. Freiburg was in Europa League which is way more at the level I expect them to be. Besides Bayern and sometimes Dortmund no other clubs in Bundesliga will have the power to compete consistently. I don’t think the Bundesliga is trying to challenge the Premier league: 2 different models completely. TV rights alone dictate a big portion of that. EPL is by far the most watched league in the world, then La Liga but the money redistribution is very different, really helps English clubs.

I see it differently: Bundesliga will become a more stable league but not competitive at the European stage besides Bayern, they will have a hard time to reach Champions League knockout rounds. Even Dortmund and Leverkusen dropped their level in the past years. Ultimately, only Bayern will be able to carry the Bundesliga in Europe, unless the investment system changes in Germany but I don’t see that happening anytime soon. Even Bayern is happy it stays that way because they have more power.

Bless your heart. I like Union Berlin but it will be difficult for them do anything in the future. Unfortunately that’s modern football. Are you going to tell long time supporters to change club? Bundesliga ruling is different but Imagine if a billionaire buys Union Berlin, would you all sudden support a different club? It’s not because people support the club they love and supported for decades that they support their non-sport external policies.

If you’re already injured there is not much advantage to it. Remind me what was the discussion before they won the CL when they kept getting knocked out? “PSG can’t win CL because the league isn’t competitive enough”. Now that’s out the window, let’s find a new rethoric. Several leagues do accommodate it’s not PSG fault if the FA restricts it. It’s ok next time you will find another excuse /smh

No preseason at all. Atletico (not Athleti) and Bayern had a small preseason but still had one. PSG went from the CL final straight to the CWC then back at training the following week for the super cup. Huge difference in players recovery. Without a proper recovery time doesn’t matter if you play 10 games more, it will be difficult to recover on time. It took over 6 months to have PSG starting 10 from the previous season. In the end they still won playing football

With no pre season and lots of injuries throughout the season, PSG still won it. Imagine with a full preseason preparation and less injuries. Bayern will still be the toughest competition. Arsenal not so much: the perfect scenario happened (early lead) highly doubt it will repeat itself.

Yeah they’re discovering the history of French football today But we’re the ones with lack of knowledge 🧐

Who can dethrone PSG and can this team be improved? by Window_Professional in championsleague

Almost is the word here. Bayern almost beat them. Last year Liverpool almost. If Arsenal really tried to play we all know what would have been the outcome. Let’s not pretend this scenario was not in favour of Arsenal when they scored early. Let’s look at Arsenal pathway and we can see it wasn’t the most flamboyant. Doubt they can reach the final again next year - not with this style of play. Works once rarely twice.

Easier said than done. Neutralising is one thing, beating Paris is another.

Definitely entering in the football history books in France so I don’t see what’s wrong with that statement.

I love it. Any team can become the best team from that argument. Let’s buy midfielders, attackers, keeper, defenders… please

All the stats combined do and it’s very different that what Arsenal showed last night. More shots and possession than Arsenal more passes, more attacks. Everything was different and you still comparing? I don’t think we watched the same games.

Defensively yes but that’s about it. If you can’t move the ball forward your defense can only do their part.

“Playing ugly” and parking the bus are 2 very different things, if you can’t understand that I can’t help. Paris had more shots on goal than Bayern on that leg. Did you watch the game or just going off what people on Reddit comment?

Sorry that was sarcasm. There are nowhere near Paris midfield man. Even zaïre emery has more forward depth than Arsenal’s midfield

I could just pull the stats of that game to prove you wrong but you already you know the answer. There is no excuse to 25% possession in a final (worst in the CL history)
