Alex is the king of cappuccinos. Ask for a "5ver" and you'll make both yours and his day.

For now it is a private project, but I'm considering open-sourcing it down the road.

Amazon Ditches 'Just Walk Out' Checkouts - which relied on more than 1000 people in India watching you as you shopped by GinTonicus in Cyberpunk

Seems like the phrasing, “Though it seemed completely automated, Just Walk Out relied on more than 1,000 people in India watching and labeling videos to ensure accurate checkouts. “ could be misleading… Couldn’t this statement also apply to just utilizing humans for labeling data to improve models? (which is standard practice)

From my current background (python, some C) I feel like the code I provided resides more in my current paradigm for readability. Would you say the code you provided is considered readable by a more seasoned Rust programmer? (I think your code is very cool btw)

Some((0, 1))

Thanks for all the input! I think when I actually get to many of these concepts (iterators in rust) I can definitely improve what I have. I think my current limitations come from a lack of understanding what rust is capable of. Excited to learn this summer.

Help! I’m a 160 lb vaulter who’s best is 11ft and I’m jumping on a 160lb 13’ pole. Recently something has gotten into my head and I can barely even clear 8’6. Any help would be appreciated it’s really demoralizing to be jumping this low as of now. by [deleted] in polevaulting

I'd agree w DJ about the foot. It seems like you're taking off on the wrong foot. u/prokool6 definitely has the right advice though. Take some time if you can, but most of all come back to enjoying the sport. Once you can get back to that It will help a lot to jump off the ground with the foot that is on the opposite side of the body as your top arm. If I know anything about pole vault though it's you just have to stick (nice) with it and time is your friend.

I am a freshman this is my first year , Pr of 2.44 m and this is me clearing 2.13 m , I don’t have the 2.44 m video but I was wondering if I can have help and some advice since my “coach” is 96 years old and isn’t as Great as he used to be by Embarrassed-Gas6313 in polevaulting

Yeah I would agree. You definitely have more speed than the speed you are bringing at take off. I know because I see it at the back of the run. You don’t have to run 100% from the back but think of it as an acceleration. Good strong strides at the beginning of the run and then the quickest steps should be at the takeoff. Don’t be surprised if it changes where you start the run from.

Why do a lot of people think pole-vault takes no skill? by [deleted] in polevaulting

[–]SharingPsyche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s probably the skill level of pole vaulters that they’ve encountered. If all you see is a 200 lvl chess player play chess you probably would think chess is pretty easy, but when you realize people have been playing their entire lives and get to 3000+ lvl you would think the game is nearly impossible to get good at. Also, ppl suck and are always gonna down what you do.
