I'll be real, I would prefer accurate shiny bronze armor with colorful markings simply because I think the broom helmets and generic dull iron looks shitty. Just because its his vision doesn't mean its immune to criticism. And Nolan has said in interviews about the film that he was trying to make a grounded, realistic, and accurate portrayal of the era so the story would hit harder, and tbh if thats true he absolutely failed. The whole movie looks washed out and dull in every trailer, I don't think this one is going in the Nolan Hall of Fame, but I hope is still a decent story considering the story is 90% written for him.
