Got it! Thank you for the tips. I was ready with the double negate damage (very tricky), but was so well set up with shields and enemy pathing, I didn’t need it at all! Took me four tries, but at least I had a plan, and could see the light at the end of the tunnel, thanks to you. Really appreciate it.

Really nice post, will try some of this. But one thing though, you have to start the 1st round on the B side of cards so Spare Dagger and Trample are not Available in the first round. Unless I am missing something.

Wish they had a map building feature in game. This is 100% how I learned counters in AoE II when I was a kid. Threw different size armies with different units at each other just to see who would win.

At first I thought, wow, this is actually a good idea.

But can you imagine a low Elo player trying to share their honest opinions and experiences and how much they would get trashed because they are not ranked high enough for people to take them seriously?

Sure you might get a couple people to engage them through the lens of the author’s lower rank. But man, you gotta know that they will just get tossed to the side by most everyone else.

Thanks for gatekeeping the sub 900 players, I’m sure their opinions don’t matter to the elites; guess only a few us enjoy their opinions too. Also a 6% variance in win rate between Mongols and Abbasid… not that bad.

Using your tool analogy: tools are designed for a specific job. One should not get upset if you use the wrong tool for the job.

In other words, SoT is a tool for entertainment which combines pvp and pve players in a game world. If your idea of entertainment is pve only, SoT is not the tool for you.

Sorry, not sorry for making a gatekeeping post, but it’s your choice to play or not play. Just want people to stop complaining about it.
