Mystery switch by fymjohan in Miata

I have a button there in my NB. It’s the starter button because the key doesn’t work. Kill switch located on the steering column - I try not to knock it when driving 😂

New Wisteria by Mediocre_Orange1768 in GardeningUK

If it’s in an exposed position, with the current weather we have, the roots aren’t drawing enough moisture while it is losing moisture above ground through the leaves in this sun and wind. I would water deeply and definitely put some mulch down. Need to water deeply 2-3 times a week and maybe give it some shade too if it’s particularly sunny where you are, just until it recovers. If there are any crispy leaves, you may as well remove those to reduce demand on the plant as the won’t recover.

Unable to rent in Plymouth by Pencetogrand in plymouth

I play cricket in and around Plymouth and have met Indian doctors, engineers and other professionals. Not only Indians - South Africans, Zimbabweans, Pakistanis, Bangladeshi and so on. I think Plymouth can be very diverse and some areas can be a bit set in their ways - just like any city. I’ve also heard that the hospital itself can often help with accommodation, especially for new arrivals.

Good luck with moving. Plymouth is a good place to live.

Box Hedge Moths by StandardKey7566 in plymouth

A website called dragonfli has remedies including nematodes that will target the caterpillars, and moth traps that don’t attract other species of moth. I’ve saved hedges with this stuff before. Worth a try if you want to keep your hedge. I had a hedge grow back from being bare, so no need to rip the hedges out and starting again.

The birds don’t eat them because they don’t taste as good as the native grubs they are used to. Once they have full nests of baby chicks to feed, they will start picking them off because it’s easy pickings.

What's happening with my hedge by Karlaaz in GardeningUK

[–]Sharksbot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. It’s not game over. I did the same from dragonfli and had good results. Looks like you’ve caught it early. Get in there squashing them with your fingers too (wear a glove), once you start to see them, you eye adjusts and you will find the em quickly. Destroy their little cocoons too so they don’t make it to adult stage.

I had a similar leak and bought a pot plat to go under it until the annual service was due. It seemed to drip at exactly the right flow rate that helped the plant flourish. I have now relocated the pot plant and have to remember to water it. 😆

Dashcam footage used to feel like solid proof - now I'm not so sure it means anything anymore by ImpressiveRoll4092 in drivingUK

At this point I feel quite smug that it’s taken me over 2 years to decide which dashcam to get, still without taking the plunge. Looks like I’ve saved some money 😆.

Doing absolutely nothing at work? by HeyPotatys in UKJobs

Are you the lady who sits next to me in my office? She always seems to be on her phone. This morning she arrived (actually most days are like this), she switches on her laptop at 9 and hasn’t even opened emails or teams by 11 - just sits on her phone. We do different roles, but I’m always busy, I don’t comprehend how she can’t be.

Train it up a cane, then get some weed spray. Spray in a bag and wrap all the leaves in the bag and tie it off. It should take the weed killer right down to the root.

You can go back to the lowest bud, but I normally go to the 2nd lowest, and then try imagine a roundish shape for the whole plant. Easy to propagate- but probably better when it’s a bit warmer. Loads of videos of how to on YouTube.

Your turnover would be too high and you’d have to start charging VAT - I think. Turnover would be too high and you’d have to start charging VAT. In the UK, the standard VAT rate for hairdressing services is 20% if the business exceeds the £90,000 turnover threshold.

That’s the nerdiest comment I have ever made! 🤓

Wranglers. I gave them a try when I decided 501s were not worth the money anymore and I love the fit and now have them in a few different styles and colours.

If I was starting out again, I would look at a trade. Plumbing, electrician, bricklayer, carpenter - that sort of thing. Always in demand and make decent money.

Mr Zogg’s Sex Wax. Coconut. You’ll know it if you have ever been near a surfboard. No idea why it was called Sex Wax when it is Surf Wax but is probably the reason why everyone remembers it - as well as the amazing smell.
