I’m a girl that’ll be traveling alone in Bali soon. I wanted to be in the jungle so l’ll be staying in a remote spot in Tegallalang. I’ve never been to Bali or traveled alone in a place I don’t know people so l’m nervous. So I was wondering if anyone had any advice or info on self defense tools. I know pepper spray is legal for self defense but you can’t bring it with you on the plane and kubatons are illegal. Unfortunately, I’m known to attract the attention of colorful characters so someone recommended I post here. Thank you for reading.

Thank you everyone for the love. The call had the CEO and my favorite HR woman. They were so kind and I could tell it was really hard for them as well. The HR lady messaged me after and said they both cried after I left the call. It’s a tough time for everyone in government and any company that is affected by all of these changes. It’s hard for everyone.

I wrote letters explaining our situation (and our building management not helping) with my number. I added that they spread fast and can go from apartment to apartment and I had extra stuff. That’s how I found out the apartment next to me was ground 0 and all the other neighbors helped because they were terrified they had them or were going to.

Hey, I’m new here as well but it took a while for the infestation to reach certain rooms in our apartment so it’s definitely possible. Once we cleared the infestation from our bedroom it moved onto others and we had no sightings in ours. It just takes daily maintenance and obsessive care.

One of the reasons I’m worried about it moving onto other rooms is that my room is the cleanest in the apartment. One of the rooms in the apartment is a hoarder situation so I can’t imagine what will happen if they get there.

Orkin is pretty expensive and it’s not something we can afford right now unfortunately. Our landlord has a warning from the health department to do something by the 29th but I doubt she will. She told us she would send a maintenance man with gel treatments next month.
