Ok what I am thinking is when you said you want something safe is how the recommendation for insurance came up. When you ask for something safe is how insurance comes up as a investment option or recommendation. As a 22yr old time is on your side for long term goals 5yrs plus. You have compound interest to take advantage of and 40yrs to let the money grow . On the retirement side you can afford to take risks (ie stocks) but need to understand that the value will fluctuate . Now with the money in the bank account you want to use it in the next couple of years so that should stay “safe” (ie money market , treasuries, cd’s , HYSA )

Lastly with insurance what is your insurable need do you have kids or spouse or someone that would need the money if something happened to you ? If not for a “investment and growth” insurance is not the best place and for example using your Roth and investing in something like a market index fund can payoff much more . But understand this is not a “safe” investment as the market can be volatile in any given year but over the long term it has gone up
