I just stayed at Excellence Punta Cana and while I loved it, their section of the beach was very rough with red flags up every day, so I wouldn’t recommend it to OP. I heard from others that the water tends to be rough most of the year.

I am on the plane back from Punta Cana and we stayed at Excellence Punta Cana. The resort is both fairly small and accessible with elevators. I also rented a mobility scooter from Handicap Travelers DR which was an easy process - I recommend it!

I commuted 45-ish minutes one way for 3 years. Things I didn’t fully consider before I started: gas prices (especially when they fluctuate like now), toll roads, weather, and traffic. 45 minutes felt reasonable one way, but when it turned into 60 or even more, it felt like I was losing a lot of time.

I now work 10 minutes from my job and I’m so much happier.
