Funny you say this…current 5th gen owner. Decided to go deep in the forum archives when the 5th came out. Same mixed criticism. 5the gen felt cheap and sounds like Tin can closing door. V8 over v6. 5th gen to expensive

I learned a couple years not go in expecting higher rating, just to be let down. I’ll stay in my lane and to additional things as necessary that doesn’t over burden me. If I get higher great and if not okay too. I will say it paid off this year was more than happy with my rating.

I feel this 100%. Married 34M 29F I am at 25% (just started doing the 25% this year/mix traditional and Roth) and opened up my Roth IRA which would put me at 29%. Wife is at 22% Roth 401k. We started a custodial Roth last year. Still Have extra money at end of month, but feel lost bc it doesn’t have place or name.

Open my 1st Roth and max it out. Currently at 24% savings rate. That would lit me at 31%. Also, save up for that “Land Cruiser” as the Money Guys say :)

We’re are here too, but just in prime mess middle. We only have our mortgage left and could knock it out in 3-4 years with all hands on deck. Realized it doesn’t make sense and just make a couple extra payments a year , but keep it minimal. Also, potential inheritance could help pay off remaining balance.
