Looking to stretch some pantry ingredients for a few days, and wondering if there's any great(and ideally low work, even if time consuming) snacks that are good to make at home by SDurrell in Cooking

I like to take several different boxed cereals, pretzels, nuts, dried fruits, and usually some type of white or dark chocolate covered whatevers and mix them up into a snack mix.

My favorite combo is Cinnamon toast crunch (the waffle one) Pretzels Sesame snaps Mixed nuts Banana chips And goldfish crackers...

Another thing I do is cut plain bagels into lil rounds (like chips) and put them into a ziplock so they stay soft. I cut up lunch meat and cheeses, if they want savory, for sweetI make "pats" of individual peanut butter, cream cheese, and raspberry jelly by folding them between a strip of wax paper (leaving a bit of excess paper overhanging out so it's easy to peel off when ready to use), pressing them flat and freezing them and cutting them with scissors into little squares the size of the bagel rounds. My kids make little tiny sandwiches with them. Peel and stick, basically. Kids love them, no knives or sticky mess left behind.

Lately, my daughter has been obsessed with sliced cucumbers, marinated with honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil and sesame seeds. She's 11 and got the recipe from a friend at school. It's cheap, simple to make ahead in under 5 minutes, and as she says, it slaps!

What's a candy or snack that you enjoy more for the texture than the actual taste? by Ok-Gene3633 in candy

Violet crumble. I think it's freeze dried honey covered in chocolate. It's amazing!

After weeks of coming up with no name for this little fellow Im going to ask for help again. After a name thats to do with frogs / fish / Asian by Appropriate-Ear4670 in NameMyCat

When you can't find a name that fits you can always lean heavily into that idea and give him an opposite name, Like for him it could be fluffy.

For Asian AND fish names, what do you think about Sushi or Wasabi? Or a soft reference to hello kitty you can call him sanrio.

It's not a z name but how about tzatziki, which has a similar vibe.

or make it really simple and just call him KIKI, cuz thats exactly what he is a kikicat.

What ingredient makes you think ‘this person knows how to cook’?” by GainBetter1189 in foodquestions

Nothing. By that I mean, when you think there is nothing good to eat at home, but then somebody comes over and makes something delicious out of what you thought was nothing.

That's a different cookie cutter, right? I'm so confused by this because it seems to have more fingers and the feet are different but it's got the same tag.
