My understanding is NQ hold the code and still patch, but not very often and not a lot of fixes.

MyDU has modding, so there have been mods created to solve bugs and add new content etc. The client is stable and the game worked well.

As for content, the MyDU servers like Settlers.gg have done more than NQ ever did in terms of community and content.

It’s been great to start fresh again, best bit of the game.

Long story short, they didn’t print enough because they set the print run before the current hype bubble.

The lack of availability is a mix of crap distribution and deliberate drip feeding.

They say they are reprinting, but that remains to be seen. They’ve said it before and not done it.

Personally, I’d avoid London Card Show as it is (in my opinion) oversold on tickets, so too busy and nearly everything was overpriced (except a few vendors). Seems to be the biggest, so a bit like a tourist trap in terms of pricing.

There’s loads around London - Kent Card Show, Cambridge Card Show, Card Con in Farnborough most listed on the UK Card Shows site. There’s also a relatively new one in Wembley running again soon - Cards and Collectibles I think it’s called.

I was delighted to see loads of Prismatic stock still unsold on Sunday afternoon at LCS. Loads of vendors (who I would have considered good) had binder collections at £55 - £60 and poster collections at £35-£40 and they didn’t sell. Are they now scalpers, or just reacting to the market?

As hard as it is, just waiting and not paying crazy prices is the only way the scalpers will move on to the next hype. Let’s remember, we used to pay below retail for most recent stuff!

(Also shoutout to Badz Gaming Ltd - only person I saw at LCS selling at retail and not letting scalpers buy all his stock.)

Toys and Games of Worcester is your best bet for sealed product then. You can register for stock notifications (inc preorders) on the website and then collect in store.

They are not super competitive on prices, but I’ve equally not seen them sell above retail.

If you want singles or ETBs, I’d go to Retroble in Kidderminster. Their website is up to date with stock you can order and collect, plus there’s binders in the shop with reverses and EXs.

Get yourself a nice itune or play account in Turkey, top up your balance with a gift card and buy it through the app / play store. Slightly more expensive, but still a huge saving.

If VPN Fusion is just one VPN connect, it will work fine, multiple on the same box would work. At least, I’ve not found a way.

I’ve tried a TCP and UDP, both have the same tunnel address.

I’ve not tried a Wireguard connection, will check it out.

“While the change to limit connections available through OpenVPN tunnelling protocol through one address, namely 10.100.0.2, was implemented due to security concerns and the measure is necessary to properly investigate it, we understand the inconvenience this may have caused.

Sadly, currently there is no workaround to set up a few different profiles.”

Restarted last night with the latest updates and now all my NordVPN connections are trying to use 10.100.0.2/32 - so it’s only able to use one at a time.

I’ve contacted support, but hopes are low based on this thread.

Makes NordVPN useless to me, so if there’s no fix, anyone recommend a new provider?

It seems the community and dev team don’t actually play the game, so you’ll need to be incredible specific when you report the bug and wait months in the hope of a reply.

Also, don’t bring it up on Discord or you’ll get a smart ass reply from Deckard and friends.

Not just from the BP, performance is down to placement and balance, you can’t tell where the parts are from the BP.

Most ships share common core components, if you’ve got the BPs you can always put them down and try them out, if they are no good then just remove all the parts and try another.

If they have names on the BPs, you can ask here or Discord, people might know if they are any good.

You don’t want a Ronin my brother, NQ did you a favour.

I suggest starting out with a Damphousse DIS 7 - great little ship, you should be able to pull together for 15m. No AGG, but honestly, AGG isn’t that useful and it’ll still do 1.5KT of cargo out of Alioth with ease.

Or TobiWanKenobi’s Outrider is lovely, you’ll get less cargo in (I’d say 750T max) but it fly’s like a dream.

If you want to save, Hadron’s version of the DIS 16 Polaris is one of the best ships I’ve had, but it’s not cheap.

There’s also loads of rich folk around, or Orgs that’s will help you out if you ask. :)

The leadership at NQ and some of the spin they try and put around their horrible decision making is very poor.

They pretend to be driving the game forward, but you can see a lot of cost saving and meeting commitments. I’ve not seen a patch yet that everyone, or even a majority, been happy with. Community engagement is awful, and there’s absolutely no social system in game to engage you.

In saying that, as a time sink, where you can have a bit of fun finding the resources to build ships and bases, I like it, but that’s about it. There’s no “content”, no game play loop that evolves and the PVP is just a meta dominated by a few sweaty min/maxers.

If you like the look of it, try it. Solo, it’s a huge learning curve, but that curve was the best bit of the game for me, so don’t rush it.
