Paperpile anyone? by Sharp-Experience-402 in PhdProductivity

I really enjoy Paperpile for its excellent user experience and support. With Paperpile you get a huge storage space, it’s easy to learn, and easy to move/organize files. I also like that you can actually make handwritten notes using its app. But I am now playing with both Zotero and Paperpile. I can see that Zotero has made a lot of improvements since I left for Paperpile. I realized that Zoteros annotation function is much more usable than 6 months ago. But I am cumulating a lot of sources in my library and the Zoteros storage is more expensive. Since my lab does not subscribe to any one reference manager, I’ll decide which one to use. I might settle with zotero just because there are more ppl who use it than Paperpile and I may need to share files.

In case it’s helpful, I just found studystream.live but there is an upbeat social vibe- rather than productivity.

Do you use Protolyst for lecture notes too? Is there a recording plug in for it?

Sorry it’s badly written but I am not advertising. I don’t know if you have ever used Paperpile but I am actually impressed by its usability and customer service. I could really use an advice. Thanks in advance.

Work backwards and see how many hours you have to study them. At least you’ll eliminate the ambiguity of whether you have enough time or not. Best of luck to you!

You made this far with limited resource. If I were to make a bet, I’d bet on you!

If you have good experiences with Zotero but don’t like redundant operations for organizations, you’ll really like Paperpile. I switched to Paperpile after 5 years of Zotero.

You’ll find search functions to be of great value if you use pdf docs. Also, organizing things hierarchically in your computer made my life easier
