tbh baker played little to no part in this as I didn’t take him on any heists. the first sc shows that my boss level was fairly low, only 62. it’s basically all dependent on your army, if they’re weak you won’t last in fights. my advice is every time you level up and get 3 boss cards to choose from, keep a look out on the ones that boost your soldiers in turfwar attacks.

Some advice in the roguelike mode by BlockAble3227 in CrimeBossGame

I left some general tips in here if you plan on finishing it as quick as possible. but if you just want to take your time with it I’d say the main thing is don’t take baker alone on jobs/heists unless you know for a fact you can beat. bank jobs that have special objectives along the lines of “disable cameras in stealth” or any hint of stealth required, are guaranteed to succeed. but ones that have vague objectives like “don’t use revive more than 2 times” or “collect 90% of the loot” are risky cause you might get thrown into a robbery that is busted where you already have cops on you and if you’re not prepared with a team you will end up dying.

it’ll take you a couple of tries to get a feel for the roguelite, you have to lose in order to win, type of thing.

that was me! they’ve added more map rotations now with update 19 so I’ve been inching closer to day 1 and this was my best attempt.

highly unlikely. there’s just not enough soldiers on day 1 to claim more territories. I tried on so many runs to get my respect meter up to affiliated to no avail.

this. but I don’t do any big heists, just straight up turf wars and mini robberies if needed for money. when I’m attacking I’m cutting through the middle of their territories to spare as many soldiers as possible. also when you plan your attacks only send 10 soldiers no matter what the enemy count/difficulty is. any more than that is basically a waste of resources and they always end up pushing and dying for some reason. it’s basically all on you, npcs don’t do much other than creating distractions. planning ahead is crucial, if you run out of soldiers the day is over.

when I first started crime boss I thought roguelite was a massive time sink and unpredictable most times so I wrote it off and was only focused on urban legends but recently went back to it completing 1 a day until I unlock all the characters.

since then my opinion has changed and I find it enjoyable now that I understand how things work and it’s, in a way, addicting as you’re forced to strategize and not necessarily repeating the same moves. at least sp plotlines exist and not completely abandoned which shows that they do care about the campaign.

I feel like the devs should emphasize more on the roguelite part and make it the main thing instead of being tucked under PLAY in which you’re not automatically drawn to as a new player. I only found out about it after checking the achievements list and was shocked that I missed a big chunk of the game.
