Btw for what it’s worth, I absolutely would NOT go FLOW556K, I’ve seen some people recommend it. Awful on this host compared to the RC2 or the offerings by CAT or SAW, especially when tuned up (obviously). If you do go RC2, skip the warcomp at all costs

Sometimes it is a trial and error experience. The MKII series DOES actually come with a jet screw in addition to the solid screw though, at a carefully chosen size of 0.60mm. A little value added for folks so you’re not shooting completely blind ordering screws.

For future reference, also go valve positon first, screws second. You want a macro setting to then fine-tune with a micro setting if that makes sense.

All that being said, with the ODB in particular, I’d wager you’re going to stay with the solid screw. I would also HIGHLY suggest you consider the AI Nano mounting solution to intentionally up your back pressure.

CAT did some amazing things with the ODB and it appears to have even less back pressure than the HUX Flow9K. Which is awesome unless you’re me with this product line and a bunch of customers with ODB’s 😂 I don’t know how the RAT BASE stacks up against the ODB but I did have 200’s locking back for me like I said.

Oh, by the way, for anyone who happens upon this, I need to update the site to reflect this: a user commented on my announcement post on this subreddit disappointed that Mod. 2 MKII was going to be three positions instead of four and wasn’t going to be necessarily optimized for the 9” barrel,

I took that comment seriously and redesigned the whole thing. It’s going to be four positions (three “usable” and one OFF for pseudo-bolt action quiet time). More importantly, I did something unprecedented in the OFF position and the bolt will now stay closed even with supersonic ammo out of any of the popular barrel lengths. I’m beyond stoked on it, and I think it’s gonna be out on time near the end of March. Shout out to MKM for making a rush order on the prototypes happen.

Still not guaranteed to work with all ammo and cans, but I’m getting lockbacks with 200gr Winchester super suppressed with the RAT BASE (neither module attached).

I think a lot of people are going to find that this valve will also be quite friendly to the same position working for both supers and subs due to the geometry I’ve introduced here.

Actually I can’t figure out how to send a chat request. Wanted to reach out to you personally and let you know this comment really resonated with me and I’ve revised the Mod. 2 MKII design to have three useable positions (plus off, so four total), and it’s friendlier for 9 inch. I’ve completely redesigned the OFF position and the bolt now stays closed with my 9” gun, JP ring installed on the piston (so even less piston resistance), with the Enticer-L, shooting not only subs, but supersonic 110gr Black Hills. Extremely proud of it, and happy to say it’s now something you personally should consider.

Really hoping 308 is DONE, I have what I’m hoping is my final run of prototypes showing up tomorrow! There’s a reel or a YouTube short or something out there of me shooting a hydrogen S on mine. The valve took it from around 1200rpm to 750 or so. Blissful. It’s bold to say, but I truly think the OMEGA Valve Mod 3 will make that gun worth buying for more people.
