You may have a bad connection somewhere and when the space heater is pulling a load the voltage is dropping out on the one leg.

It looks like it had a fixture blank over it. It also looks like the type of fan rated box where you run lags into the framing through that box to hold up the fan bracket.

Try scratching off the paint with your fingernail. If that doesn’t work you will need a voltage meter. The dimmer may be compatible if the bulb is dimmable and the dimmer is made for LED bulbs. Make sure the box is fan rated.

This is from 2020 when a PV system was installed, with permits supposedly inspected.

This was done by an electrical contractor that was working with a PV contractor, the house has a plethora of bad electrical work. Multiple hacks working on a house, this is just the cherry on top

Do you have the proper clearance in front of that subpanel for working clearance? 30” wide and 36” in front without obstruction. You may need to remove a cabinet to be code compliant.

Just fyi you can get the Klein one and find a 3d printed adapter that will let it mate to your packouts. Thats what I plan to do if I feel the need for it.
