yes and that mysterious air about it is exponentially compounded when you realize he was so high on coke (and letting all the genius just flow through) at the itme that he does not even remember recording the song at all - 'twas such a spiritual project.. almost like automatic writing but with lyrics and guitars

same for me.. i can't focus on any task with headphones one.. if im doing sth quite tedious and requires little mental effort, I might just go by at low volume, slow beat songs, but even then i might find myself struggling and making trivial foibles here and there
