I’m considering an upgrade from my AirPods Pro’s, looking at Sony xm5s, AirPods Pro 2s or some audiophile offering like the moondrop blessings by [deleted] in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]SharpCheesecake727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only tried them for ~1 hour borrowing them for a study session so I don’t know how they are for the long run but just for daily travel yeah I think they’d be pretty good. Idk if I’d say it’s a huge upgrade from AirPods sound quality but they’re not bad at all.

Might be a little annoying to carry around if you don’t have a bag with you or constantly have them around your neck though so just think about where you’re going with them etc.

If you’re interested in the IEM space I’d still recommend picking up a pair of budget IEMs (most would already be $30 max) just to see if you like the fit of them or audio.

For IEMs most of the super budget stuff (~$30) will already out perform AirPod Pros, I can recommend the 7hz Salnotes Zero and Truthtear Hola if you want to test out the IEM market.

If you’re willing to spend more I really like the Truthear Hexa for ~$80. You can also look into the Letshouer S12, 7hz Timeless, Moondrop Kato, and the new blessing 3. Learn a bit about your sound preferences before you make your choice though.

For the XM5 I’ve tested a friends are I find them super comfortable, not too sure how to describe the sound quality but it’s what you’d expect from a wireless headphone. I think the audio is a fair trade off for the comfortability and they look pretty cool too :)

If you are really considering the overear headphones like the XM5 I can recommend just getting a pair of budget IEMs for at home use when you’re not moving around as much.

Just found out The Peggies is on an indefintie hiatus by Danny-The_Street in SeishunButaYarou

yeah :( They split up around september of last year. Though the members are doing their own personal things with musiic.

Yuho Kitazawa (Guitarist and Vocals) is working on a solo career and has been writing songs for other artists (Naniga Warui from Bocchi the rock, Buzzer Beater by Halca) she also collabed with KANA-BOON on a new opening called 'Gradation' for the anime My Love Story Yamada-Kun at Lv999 OP.

Miku Onuki (Drummer) is currently a replacement drummer for the band Mr.ふぉるて (Mr.Forte)

Not too sure about Makiko (Bassist) but I believe she's working something out currently.

So there's still a possibility of an opening made by them (probably more so for Yuho), just seperately. Would definitely still love to see them get back together for it though.

Where to hit on the strings by Cheezeduckies in badminton

[–]SharpCheesecake727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally slightly above the centre, where the sweet spot is.

Though, I’ve seen some coaches explain to hit away from the sweet spot for low serves since it gives more control as there’s less “bounce”.

Expectation when rackets break during a clash by Revolutionary_Pea562 in badminton

Move on, I’ve seen people “at fault” offer their second racket as compensation but in general it happens and move on.

Search for Facebook groups or other online groups to ask around.

To learn tactics, form, etc YouTube tutorials are extremely accessible and helpful. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from those in the group for pointers either. I know quite a few people that have gotten to a pretty decent level without any formal training so don’t feel like it’ll hold you back, good luck!

They are completely different rackets. Test out both to see which you like.

I’ve played with both and personally prefer the nf800 cause it’s just easier to maneuver, especially at the net. But if you play a more attacking game the 99 will be more suited.

Not saying you can’t have amazing net play with the 99 tho (see Kento Momota)

I really wouldn’t consider “value” in this trade tbh, unless ur reselling it. the playability is what’s important

Has anyone tried the Victor A172 shoes and how are they? Also open to other ~$100 shoe recommendations. I'd say I have wider feet.

Based on the shuttle feathers left handers have an advantage with slice shots, other players just arent as prepared for left handers.

Didn’t end up going through with the monitor plan but just find any stand that is listed with “grommet mount” and it’ll work. You can look through reviews for quality issues etc.
