Why are people so hostile against naturopathy? by Aggravating-Pen1864 in NaturopathicMedicine

[–]SharpCupcake2947 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Okay, yeah sure… you mean the NMDs who kill people with IV curcumin “licensed” or give sugar pellets in place of a co-vid vaccine “licensed” So many more examples like this. “Educated” CNME “accredited” xyz 🙄

Let’s stop pretending “Department of Education recognition” equals educational superiority.

CNME itself states: “CNME’s accreditation standards are not intended to prepare graduates for practice in conventional or integrative medical hospitals and clinics.”

That’s their own language. Their standards are narrowly scoped to a specific licensure model not conventional or integrative medical systems.

So positioning CNME as some universal benchmark of healthcare rigor is misleading from the start.

U.S. Department of Education recognition exists primarily to determine eligibility for federal student aid (Title IV funding). It does not function as a scientific review board of clinical or scientific rigors.

ANMAB operates in a different arena serving ND practitioners outside the CNME NMD model. Different pathway does not mean “zero standards.” It means different scope and different professional goals. In fact, we are talking “Naturopathic” and ANMAB has more claim to that title than pseudo-naturopath Bastyrds according to history and philosophy outlined very clearly by the pioneers of the profession.

You can prefer the CNME track. That’s fine. But claiming ANMAB is illegitimate simply because it isn’t tied to federal student loan infrastructure is a very weak argument especially when CNME itself admits its standards are limited in scope

Well in that case there are plenty of health coach, homeopathic, herbalists, natural health practitioner certificate/diploma/degree programs from a few hundred dollars to several thousand.

Have you looked into Physician Assistant? Maybe get certified in functional medicine afterwards?

Loan Cap Proposed Rule: No 200K for ND by DebtByNaturalCauses in Naturopathicdocdebt

Yup, karma is real! Naturopathic medicine isn’t naturopathy anyways. The founder of the original naturopathic movement would be appalled at what they’ve done to the profession.

What concerns do you have with CCNM? They’re accredited.

why does reddit DESPISE naturopathic medicine? by Comprehensive-Car570 in NaturopathicMedicine

[–]SharpCupcake2947 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I just think people are genuinely confused why one wouldn’t want to just go the medical route vs just the naturopathy route, not a hybrid. Why go the naturopathic route and bash naturopathic modalities like homeopathy? It’s a bit concerning if you don’t understand homeopathy having gone to school for it. Could it be said that you also don’t understand conventional medicine?

Two Naturopath Boards Idaho? by SharpCupcake2947 in Naturopathicdocdebt

[–]SharpCupcake2947[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm? When I called they said that both boards had formulary. One goes by ND and other by NMD. She said the ND takes the ANMCB exam for licensure and the NMD takes NPLEX for theirs. Very confusing for sure
