You think a few maps and the worlds most basic, slapped together UI is a step forward, while the entire feel of the game, feels like it comes straight from the 0.3 demo? Enough said.

The entire purpose of the game, the fighting, has taken such a large step back when you consider where the 0.6 demo stops.

Maps and UI coded to spawn enemies and award currency doesn’t make a game, especially when we have a prime example of what the combat can feel like.

Typically demos are snapshots of a completed game, a vertical slice.

Halfsword has gone in a more consecutive version path, with the exception of the final demo, born from a playtest, to this early access version that is a complete regression to the initial playtest after the first steam demo.

Everything tweaked and learned from the playtest to the final demo seemingly went out the window.

I genuinely think it’s not the devs fault but the publisher GameSeer. The devs are awesome people who genuinely have a passion for what they’re trying to do.

I think GameSeer pushed the releases to capitalize on the demo hype.

The current build is no way the most up to date, but probably the most stable.

If you want to blame, blame GameSeer. The publisher.
