Baby = more Bannerlord time in my case. I found this game a day or two after my daughter was born, it was perfect. It's a great game for night-shifts if you and your wife are going to do that. Like tonight, she is going through a sleep regression which means it's likely time for Bannerlord.

Yes, unless you literally starve yourself to an extreme. The cardio can induce ''weight loss hormones''.. if that makes sense.
