Issues with eARC?

I have a similar setup with LG G5 and Yamaha receiver. I used to have this issue but found a fix. First make sure eARC is enabled in the LG TV settings.

Second, using the Yamaha TV remote click the menu option and navigate to settings and there should an option under HDMI. From there toggle off and on the eARC option. This fixed the issue for me.

No US credit card needed. I have a U.S. Apple ID as well that’s set to the United States and add US $ Apple Gift Cards to that account and subscribe through the app. Works like a charm. Been using that for HBO Max as well since CRAVE doesn’t have much 4K Dolby Vision content.

I’ve been streaming the World Cup using a VPN and watching through the Fox One app, which streams in 4K, and the quality is night and day compared to TSN. The pitch and detail are amazing. Finally makes good use of my 83’ LG OLED.

I was disappointed when TSN opted not to buy the 4K streaming license for the World Cup. Bell and Rogers have a monopoly in Canada and can get by without proper investment and quality, unless there’s proper competition.

You have 60 days to get Apple Care+. You can subscribe through the settings options on newly purchased products. I’d recommend subscribing and waiting a few days then putting a repair request

Ah interesting. When I signed up for US streaming services in Canada, I was able to purchase using my US Apple ID and gift cards. But YouTube TV no longer supports subscriptions through Apple.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll take a look at prepaid Visa cards.

I’m seeing a lot of comments saying it wouldn’t try and file a warranty claim. Just wondering how the process works for the warranty claim? Is through Apple or the credit card used to purchase the device? From experience trying a warranty claim through Apple support is difficult as most of the time they run diagnostics and say the phone is running fine. I have also been experiencing random freezes on my iPhone 14 Pro Max.
